Chapter Six

Chapter Six - New student

Erin trundled into her from room the next day, completely worn out by the previous day. Her mates had left the house before her, needing to get some studying done before the big biology test, which they all, except maybe Al,  forgot about. Erin set her heavy book bag down and thanked her lucky stars that Mustang wasn't in before she was, otherwise she would have been a walking (screaming) torch.

"Hey, Erin" Alphonse tapped her on the shoulder. She spun around and smiled at her friend.

"Hi Al" She said back, sitting down on the edge of her desk. He had a text book clutched to his chest, no doubt the one he was revising from.

"Why did you come in so late? You know if Mustang were here, he'd-"

"Yeah I know" Erin muttered. "What else is new"

"Well, for starters, a classmate!" Winry's happy voice rang in Erin's other ear Winry sat down next to her.

"What do you mean?" Erin asked quietly, not in the mood for loud noises or 'new things'. Winry grinned.

"Apparently a new student is coming to our form" Al explained. "She's supposedly really nice"

Erin thought about this for a moment, then her train of thought totally derailed again as Envy walked into the classroom.

"That's cool" She said to Al and Winry almost absently. They just  looked at each other and exchanged smiles.

"Why don't you go talk to him already?!" Winry slapped Erin on the back. Erin shot her a look.

"Well, I-"

"MORNIN' CLASS!" Mustang shouted as he made his usually loud entrance into the room. Everyone took their seats, not having even been asked by the teacher. Silence befell the classroom. That is, until the door opened again and a young girl ran through. Everyone stared, even Mustang.

"Sorry I'm late!" The girl said.

Is she the new girl Al and Winry were telling me about? Erin thought as she eyed the young lady. She had super long red hair, that measured down nearly to her knees, She wore a blue mini skirt and a white tank top. Her sneakers were as red as her shiny, and brushed out hair. Erin was amazed. Amazed at the fact that she could brush hair that long without ending up ripping it out in frustration. Herself having long and thick hair, Erin knew what that was like.

Mustang, instead of yelling and throwing fire like the class thought he would, rose and walked up to the new girl, leading her to the front of the class.

"Everyone, meet Mimi. She's a new student, joining our form"

Mimi smiled and waved, obviously quite happy to be joining Amestris High. Erin knew she would sooner then later change her mind. Mimi continued smiling as she made her way to an empty seat, which happened to be right next to-

"Hey girlfriend!" She said brightly. Envy gave her a dirty look.

"I'm a guy" he assured her, clenching a fist behind his back.

"You're so funny!" Mimi nudged him playfully, grinning. Envy shook with anger, he wanted to hit something so bad, preferably the new girl's face. Erin, who had been observing, couldn't help but find it amusing and giggled. The bell rang loudly, making sure everyone knew it was the start of classes and end of socializing for the given time. There was a racket as the students got up off their seats and made their way out of the room, to their upcoming lessons. Erin and her gang were out as the last ones, as they always were.

"The new girl seems nice" Al mused, walking over to the door first, Winry behind him.

"Yeah, she does" Winry mocked, laughing as they all briskly went to their lesson, not wanting to be late. Erin liked Mimi, she seemed friendly and a pleasure to be around.

pffffffffft, imma try harder on the next one, but i need to finish the characters for ClockWork first.. :)
