Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten - Caffeine

"Can i have a frappuccino then?" Mimi asked the young man at the counter of the Juice Bar. He shook his head and sighed.

"Look love, this is a juice bar. You can't get coffee here" 

"But I need Caffeine!" Mimi moaned, leaning against the counter. She gave the man big puppy eyes, trying to sway him with cuteness, unfortunately it didn't work.

"If you want some coffee, then you can try Starbucks, just down the road." 

"Nah, not bothered. Can i just have a lemonade then?" She frowned, fishing out 3 pounds from her skirt pocket and set it down on the counter as the man prepared the beverage quickly yet professionally. 

"How was foo tech Ed?" Erin asked Edward as she sipped on her cola. He shrugged. 

"Uneventful" he lied. Al smirked and nudged his brother in the gut.

"No it was very eventful. He started staring dreamily at Dawn in the middle of making those jam tarts!" 

"Shut up Al! Thanks for standing up for me!" Ed slammed his metal fist against the table, gnashing his teeth and going slightly red. Erin and Winry almost choked on their soft drinks as they burst out laughing. Mimi came over and sat down by Erin. She had a angry air about her, complete with a sour face.

"What's wrong Mimi?" Erin asked. Her new mate just rolled her eyes and mentioned to the guy at the counter.

"No coffee 'ere love!" She said in a mocking voice, imitating the young man. Al chuckled.

"We did ask if you wanted to go to Starbucks!" 

"Well yeah, but i was sure they would-"

"Sell coffee in a Juice Bar" Winry finished the sentence off. "Yeah, because that would totally make sense!" she scoffed sarcastically.

There was a slight pause, none of the friends really knowing what to say. Erin sighed and spoke up.

"Hey Winry, Mimi? Do you know what it's like to like a guy who doesn't even acknowledge you?" 

Winry smiled understandingly. She then turned to Ed and gave him a hard glare. "Yeah, I do know what it's like" 

"What?" Edward asked, completely clueless and oblivious to the things the girls had just said.

"Who's the lucky dude then eh?" Mimi grinned and slapped Erin playfully on the back. Erin blushed opened her mouth to answer, when the little bell at the entrance tinkled, signalling that someone came in. Erin looked over the edge of her tall diner seat. Envy glanced at her, making her go bright pink and duck back behind the soft seat. Mimi giggled.

"Who the palm tree!?" she asked. Winry, Ed and Al all nodded their heads slowly, smiling. Erin looked back at the green haired boy.

"I can't help it! He's so hot!" 

"She has a monster crush on him. Don't tell me you don't know yet, she makes it so obvious!" Al joked. Mimi laughed out loud, a bit too loud for Erin's liking. Envy looked back at the group of 5 friends and frowned.

"Lookin' good girlfriend!" Mimi called over, grinning like a mad man. Envy groaned and turned around, marching out of the Juice Bar. "He hates me so much" Mimi smiled to herself.

Dawn stumbled into the classroom, feeling bubbly and high. She threw her bag to her table and giggled, which made everyone stare. Shinx floated after her, anxious and rather worried about his master. 

"Dawn? Are you feeling alright?" 

"I am perfectly FINE! *hic*" Dawn laughed, wobbly walking to her desk. The students were even more scared of her, it was bad enough when she was evil and dangerous, now Dawn, the darkest kid in school, was acting like a little school girl on crack.

Envy tried not to laugh. It was fun to watch his arch nemesis be all cute and crazy. He was tempted to pull out his phone and start filming, but held himself back because he knew she would make him deeply regret it  later. Edward raised an eyebrow and stayed close to his bother and friends. 

"What is wrong with you?" Greed smirked at Dawn. Shinx rolled his eyes and told Greed what was wrong.

"She was super tired so she drank, like, 4 litres of coffee this morning" 

Greed paused then started laughing so hard he cried.

"Take your seats" Mustang entered the form room. The students did as they were told, not wanting to get on their tutor's bad side. Dawn was giggling without being able to stop. 

"Dawn, are you OK?" Mustang asked his pupil, concerned more by the fact that she was acting like a 7 year old girl. 

"I'm sure am! Hey do you by any chance have some Frappuccino!?"

LOL SUCH A LAME CHAPTER XD this one is sooooo short... but oh wellzzzz. that juice bar scene came out real crappy, but it was really hard to write so please forgive me ^^; haha the idea for dawn and coffee comes from today in spanish, where awesomness87 drank a whole bottle of starbucks frappuccino coffee and almost went crazy when she finished it XD the school dance is coming up :D
