Chapter Twenty Five - Who Turned out the Lights?

The inside of the gym, the heart of the party was loud, crowded and constantly moving. Colourful lights blazed, confetti and streamers hung above while happy students danced below. Shinx wore head phones that were way too big for his head, but that didn't matter. He still made the best DJ at the dance.

Typical disco music rang through the hall, getting everyone up on their feet. DJ Shinx flashed a toothy grin and scratched the disc with his claw, adding to the beat. It was quite the treat for the pupils of Amestris High. Al spun Jayme around, finding courage to dance with his crush. She giggled as she twirled, her dress flying around her almost like a shiny disk. Winry and Edward were just moving with the beat, enjoying the night itself as much as each other's company. As the music changed from The Best Party in Town to Only Girl in the World, the mood of the dance shifted slightly, everyone switching their moves to go with the different beat. Erin reluctantly danced around Brad as the song blared through her ears. She found it hard to enjoy Rihanna when she was with her one marked nemesis.

"Can you get me some punch?" Erin asked as the song was close to the end, quieting the hall down. Brad winked at her, thinking he was 'irresistible' to the ladies and that Erin was interested in no one else but him. As he disappeared into the crowd she sighed a sigh of relief.

"Boo"

Erin almost jumped out of her dress with fright. She spun around on her heel, ready to pack a slap on the person's sorry face when she realised who that person was.

"I was looking everywhere for you. You're hard to find" Envy grinned.

"You scared the damn heck out of me!" Erin laughed, feeling her mood already lighten up in the company of the sin (sounds quite ironic..). She glanced at Envy's outfit, which differed from his usual clothes. Well, Erin was sure she wouldn't normally see him in a white shirt, waist coat and smart black trousers, green hair gathered in a loose pony tail. She best make the most of the occasion then. 

"And this track is to all the lovers in the club!" Shinx announced on his mic, the role of DJ was really getting to his head. After all, he had the school gym mixed up with a night club. His little paws worked quickly as he jumped about the DJ decks, since he was so small, and changed the tune again.
