Chapter Fourteen

Chapter Fourteen - Alchemy allowed

Gunshots rang through the air, cutting the students off from chanting 'FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT'.

Bradley stood behind the whole ordeal, a thin slither of smoke trailing from his gun. All the students not involved in the situation disappeared, running from the head, leaving Erin, Envy, Brad, Dawn, Winry and the Elric brothers. 

"BRAD! ENVY!" He boomed. Erin had never really seen the head teacher of the school, but now she understood why everyone was so afraid of him. The atmosphere was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Hawkeye and Armstrong stood behind Bradley, looking serious and a tad bit disappointed with the two pupils. Jayme held her breath, scared at the fact that if she made a sound someone might shoot her. 

"I demand an explanation!" Bradley said angrily, intimidating everyone. Brad touched his black eye and winced in pain. Envy just crossed his arms, not scared by Bradley. He knew the head's dirty little secret, and wasn't frightened by the fellow homunculus, technically he was older then Bradley anyway. 

"It was him sir!" Brad pointed at Envy, trying to push all the blame onto his opponent. Envy would have none of it.

"What?! YOU STARTED IT! I was just-" 

"It's my fault!" Erin blared out, not thinking even once, let alone once about what she was doing. All stared at her, dumbfounded. Erin looked down at the floor, to scared to look into the head teacher's one menacing eye. "...I dared Brad to hit Envy, and I started the fight. I was just being stupid. I'm sorry" 

Bradley looked surprised at first, not suspecting Erin to have anything to do with the fight. He frowned and walked up to the girl. 

"It was a very stupid thing to do Erin. This thoughtless behaviour will have consequences" he said with a calm tone. "I'm afraid you're going to isolation for the whole day, and you two" he looked at the boys. "-are both attending after school detention for an hour" 

He started walking back to his office and mentioned for Erin to follow him. She turned back towards her friends and mouthed 'I'll be fine'. Looking at Envy, she just smiled and blushed, then spun her head back around as she and Bradley turned the corner, disappearing. The end of break bell rung, announcing all pupils to stop idling and attend their next subjects. Envy still couldn't get the idea through that Erin stood up and took the blame for a fight he pretty much started. 

'What was she thinking? I don't get it. Why would she do that? The poor girl is taking punishment for something I caused. Who in their right mind would save my ass anyway? No one cared before..' 

Dawn, the sick being she was, enjoyed every moment. 

"Looks like the palm tree has himself a fangirl" she retorted and strolled to the new arena, where the Alchemy lessons were to be held, Shinx floating after her. Winry, Ed and Al all glared at Brad. Edward clenched his automail fist and stepped towards him, but Winry stood in his way. 

"Don't. You're better then him" she told her best friend. Ed shot the guy one last look and briskly walked with his brother and Winry to their Alchemy lesson. 

"I'm gonna kill you for this" Envy told Brad and left too after picking up his trampled black bag.

"Alright Everyone gather round" Kimblee instructed the class he was teaching. "Let's get straight to the point. I'm the Crimson Alchemist, but you can call me Kimblee. You are all going to pair up, and each pair will spar in the arena. This way we are all going to see what each one of you are actually capable of."

The students gathered in front of him started shuffling towards the partners they wanted to be with, trying to be discrete. Kimblee smiled and found fun in spoiling their plans. 

"I will be pairing you up" 

Everyone groaned. It sucked when all teachers decided to partner you up, they always put you with people you would never talk to. Mimi grinned. She was hoping to get paired with Dawn, just so she could have a good laugh, and the same went for Dawn, but she wanted to kick Mimi's head in for a few things. Winry got out her wrench and threw it up into the air, catching it after the tool spun twice. Edward gulped. He knew just how dangerous that wrench was...
Kimblee got out a clipboard and read aloud;

"The pairs are as follows. Edward and Winry, Erin and Lust, Mimi and Alphones, Dawn and Envy, and finally Jayme and Greed" (then he mentions some other random names i am not bothered to write here.) he paused, not wanting to miss the pupil's different reactions.

"What?! Are you serious?! I'm not going against the nerd!" Mimi exclaimed, disappointed she was not going to kick Dawn around, and get praised for it.

"This will be too easy!" Dawn laughed. Shinx sat perched on her shoulder, grinning wider than the Cheshire Cat. 

"Um, sir, Erin isn't here. She's in isolation" Alphones raised his hand and told their teacher the whereabouts of his friend. Kimblee adjusted his white hat and raised an eyebrow. 

"So who do I go up against?" Lust asked in a bored tone, not really bothered if she got a chance to impale someone on her dagger-like fingers or not.

"That sweet thing? How did she manage to land in isolation?" he asked more out of curiosity then concern. 

"Oh. she started a huge fight between Envy and Brad!" Dawn couldn't help herself but pour petrol on the fire and snitch. 

"Let that be a lesson to you. Now, I want the first pair out in that arena. Note these lessons are the only time you are allowed to use Alchemy while in school. Edward and Winry, get out there! We don't have all day!"

haha! i made them get into the stupidest pairs :D lets see how they all do in the next chapter! and i seriously hope brad gets hit by the school bus or something =___= ERIN GOT SENT INTO DAMN DETENTION BECAUSE OF HIM! D: and yes, she did that to protect a certain someone iambeingaobsessivefangirlpleaseforgiveme. Jayme and Greed...lets see how they do =w=
