Chapter Four – Chemistry with Havoc

For our group of friends, Mathematics went by as the usual. Winry answered the question right, by telling her teacher it was a trick question. Miss Hawkeye didn't shoot her, and the Erin's group of friends stayed intact for another day. Dawn was staring at Edward throughout the whole lesson, malice spelt clearly in her eyes. There was nothing she wanted to more than to steal his soul and go on about living as if he never existed. Al studied hard as always, and Ed's time of the lesson was occupied by him trying to stay as far from Dawn as possible. With Erin it was a whole different story…

She stared at his silky green hair, his rippling muscles, his masculine physique and deep sharp gorgeous eyes and his sleek jawline and-

"Erin? Erin! ERIN!!" Winry shook her friends arm until she'd broken away from her deep love trance. Their next lesson was science, and they didn't want to be late. Not after what happened last time.

"What?" Erin asked, pulling her arm out of Winry's grasp.

"We need to get to science!" Winry told her friend, picking up Erin's bag and dumping it into the violet haired girl's arms. "Now come on!"

Running… Running through hallways, the four friends bolted through the corridors of the school building on their way to their science class. They were supposed to have a supply teacher, and Erin prayed that it were true.

Finally at the classroom…

Erin, Winry, Ed and Al burst through the blue doors of their science room. And 'lucky' them, Jean Havoc had not fallen ill or died as they hoped, but instead he was standing at the classroom's front, writing the date down on the whiteboard. He addressed Erin and Winry first, completely dissing the two brothers standing behind.

"Hello pretty ladies!" Havoc greeted them, looking the two girls up and down, before kindly presenting them with seats in the very middle of the room. "You were obviously in the bathroom putting on your make up to look good for little old me!"

Once the two 'ladies' were sat down, the science teacher turned to the Elric brothers.

"EDWARD! ALPHONES! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU TWO IN AN AFTER SCHOOL DETENTION FOR BEING LATE TO MY LESSON THIS AFTERNOON!" he boomed, compelling Erin into shielding her ears.

"But sir, Erin and Winry-" Al began to squeak, only to be cut short by the fuming Havoc.

"THOSE TWO ARE BEAUTIFUL LADIES WITH MANNERS!" Havoc shouted into Ed's face, pointing at Winry, who spat chewing gum across the room.

"NOW TAKE A SEAT BEFORE I MAKE THAT A SATURDAY DETENTION!!" their teacher raged. Ed and Al scampered off to the free seats. Unfortunately for the poor brothers, the only free seats left were next to Gluttony and another next to-

"I'm sitting next to fat man!" Al exclaimed before speeding off into Gluttony's direction, leaving Ed standing stupidly in the middle of the room, with all eyes on him including Havoc's, who was tapping his foot, glaring evilly at the poor teen. Ed frantically looked about the class, and found that the only seat left was next to-

"Oh no not Dawn." He gulped, carefully edging his way to his seat, scared he might provoke the girl like she was some wild animal. He'd seen what she would do if she got angry, so he didn't want to piss her off. Yet Dawn seemed oblivious to him, and everyone else in that matter, so Ed quietly slipped into the seat next to the dark individual. Once he was settled, Dawn glanced at him with her Homunculus eyes. Edward didn't dare move.
