(Don't you love musical variety? But how about people loving songs that you hate the most though? We're covering this entire little thing in one little Wattpad page.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------So, as obvious this might get, we're covering this time the "unpopular opinions" in the Eurovision fandom.
And yes, be surprised, people actually have different music tastes. And no, they're not a mythical creature which came out of nowhere, like an unicorn, a siren or whatever else.
Also, the term of opinion is pretty much understood differently from person to person, some actually being very respectful and understanding that, and the others..... not so much.
So, what's an unpopular opinion, you may ask?
Well, an unpopular opinion in the Eurovision fanbase is generally seen as either someone disliking a very appreciated song by the ESC community, either loving a song disliked by them. Usually can be refered to artists too, and so the concept of "overrated/underrated" usually is used as mentioning a point of view equal or contrary your musical taste or the community in itself.
For example: I honestly despise Euphoria (Sweden 2012), Beautiful Mess (Bulgaria 2017), Satellite (Germany 2010), and Heroes (Sweden 2015). However, I entirely adore Cheesecake (Belarus 2014, look up), One More Day (Georgia 2011), My Turn (Czech Republic 2017) & Complice (San Marino 2008).
Of course, there are more but these were among the firsts I could remember.
If you love any of the songs mentioned previously under my least favorites, it's alright. After all, that's what opinions are about, and I respect them, just like many other people do.
But if someone acts like a prissy 5 year old kid just because your favorite song/singer is in this kind of rankings, then girl, the door is open for you to leave as fast as possible.
As mentioned previously, this kind of ranking can even include artists. I'd rather not give any example just yet, but there's a certain someone which I'd like covering a tad bit later.
(A cookie offered by me if you manage to guess the artist before the chapter arrives. Come on, you like cookies, don't you?)
Conclusion: Any opinion is welcomed and fully respected here. As long as you don't dare shoving that song or singer down our throats. That won't actually make it better for you, or the artist you're stanning. It'll end up way worse for both sides.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the time I finished this drabble and ramble, guess what?We have all the songs for Eurovision 2018! Thanks Georgia for finally releasing it. Oh, the Eurovision atmosphere is going to strike us as soon as possible.
Can't wait, to be honest. Who's your favorite this year?
