My Least Favorite Winners (1956 - 2018)

63 contests.
A lot of drama, as we're genuinely used with.
And, of course, 66 winners.

Hello, Kebab here.
As much as I can recall, I've been following this contest for 11 years - and as the "curiosity kills the cat" expression might point it out - went in the Retro Eurovision era as well.
(And of course, remained without ideas to update this story, especially after the school period which killed my sanity as a whole, but hey, who can blame me?)

Every Eurovision fan is aware about at least a part of the winners. At least the recent ones + Waterloo and whatever else used to be on the radio (like Making Your Mind Up or Save Your Kisses For Me, to give some examples.)

However, as a normal human reaction, we can't love, adore or get along with literally every single winning song ever, and we have the tendency to dislike a song or two at least.

Therefore, this top will mainly focus on the best... from the bottom. So basically a top 5 of my least favorite winners.

As usual, it's all based on my personal opinion, so if you love these songs, it's completely alright and I'm not the kind of person to judge someone else's musical preferences.

Alright?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's begin then with some little (dis)honorable mentions then!

Dishonorable Mentions.

In this category, I simply went wth two ties.
These songs have a little bit in common themselves, therefore I went on to pair them because the remarks would be similar.

Tom Philibi | All Kinds Of Everything
(France 1960, respectively Ireland 1970)

Listening back to these 2 songs, I find out that they kinda use the same cutie-style kind-of thing in their performances to make it charming for the viewer.

I think it was also some sort of style many contestants used back in the day - but some managed to deliver it well, others... not really.

I don't technically despise the songs, nor the artists, just to make myself clear. But I find these songs a bit too cheesy and kind-of too much.
Like, in my view, that cuteness seemed a bit too forced and kinda ruined the charming element. Like I said, I don't technically hate the songs, and they remain under the dishonorable mention mark.
(I honestly seem to prefer deeper vocals by comparison, so it's not a surprise I'm kind-of avoiding the opposite section.)

Everybody | I Wanna
(Estonia 2001 and Latvia 2002)
