Eurovision Asia

(This is mainly for the fellow Asian nations. And honestly I'm so excited for this one, you can't even imagine.)

So, for going a tiny bit outside the European spectrum, there's this little.... spin-off (?) of Eurovision Song Contest, called Eurovision Asia Song Contest.

Now, you might probably ask:

"Why it's not called Asiavision though? Isn't it easier to memorise it this way?"

It's a good question indeed and I initially wondered that too. After a few clicks and searching all around the Internet, the answer came in short time.

It was trademarked already apparently by a news channel. So yeah, question answered.

Now, as it's the very first edition, there won't be a lot of countries participating and there's still a little unsure if the concept is actually going to be made. That would be honestly awesome, although I feel like the neighbouring votes would amplify big time.

But imagine those performances though. I'd adore to see that happen. Also a new opportunity to find some aspiring new artists from there so yay!

If this spin-off will still go on, I have a few hopeful artists I'd want to see on that stage soon enough.

Kazakhstan

I'd want to begin with probably the most willing to join Eurovision (both of them, original and spin-off) in the past years - Kazakhstan!

Why with Kazakhstan though? Well, because it's my half-country and Khabar Agency's determination to put Kazakhstan on the Eurovision scene is pretty much admirable.

If you'd go for the Q-Pop scenery.... uh... yeah, let's say Q-Pop (or Kazakh pop, the "q" hails from qazaq and so we wouldn't be confused with South Korea afterwards) became more prevalent once with Ninety One & Dimash.

Which are two acts I'd rather not see because the Kazakhs are so into them and protect those guys like their goddamn children. I don't like Ninety One's style and I'd tolerate Dimash if he wasn't so arrogant and full of himself.

I'd honestly want Ayree to represent us for the first time. She went in ABU Song Festival in 2016 (which is more of a music festival rather than a contest, ain't really Eurovision Asia style but close enough), and in all honesty she's so open to everything. Also she's one genuine sweetheart which deserves to experience this.

Honorable mentions: Zhanar Dugalova (although I'd prefer her for the real deal), Ali Okapov, Serik Ibragimov or Moldir Auelbekova.

Here's Ayree's performance in ABU TV Song Festival 2016, if you want a first opinion:

South Korea

Oh boy, South Korea.

I do enjoy some K-Pop from time to time, don't get me wrong. I listen to K-Pop whenever I can or I'm in a good mood to do it.
