(Minsk actually did a really nice job regarding hosting and all, god bless it didn't end up like that time when Malta hosted and it was all such a mess.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hello, fellow magic europals which are finally grateful they're getting slowly out of this PED mess.
(...including your lazy kebab over here too.)As for the Junior Eurovision this year, I was quite impressed with the children when it came to vocals and all, a huge part of them pulled it off amazingly well. A nice surprise, I must say.
And as for the mini ranting over here...
I'm just going to make a slight comparation from before the show and after the show, by the place they got in the end, 20th to 1st.If your favorite is low or if I'm "too harsh" at opinions, please just take it with a pinch of salt. My opinion is my opinion, it doesn't directly reflect yours. Be free to love what you want.
Let's begin, shall we?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20th: Wales
Before the show: I found it a bit bland, in like, it didn't really stood out for me in the beginning, but eventually grew on me in the last weeks.
After the show: Okaaaay Wales, I see you very clearly. I liked the floral aesthetic and the concept they tried to do. The dancers were lovely and her voice was pretty beautiful.
~~~
Oh, poor you Wales.
It sucks to get last in a contest as Eurovision might be (okay, this is a spin-off of Eurovision, but that's part 2), but getting absolutely nothing from the jury and being last overall, especially in your very first edition over there... yikes.I still fail to see why this deserved last. It deserved better.
19th: Serbia
Before the show: It's cute, but it really doesn't give me anything new on the table.
After the show: She can sing and Serbia got a goddamn budget for the LED background, she can clearly sing and sparkles ~
~~~
Serbia needs a new tactic in JESC if they want to do at least decent - balkan ballads don't seem to do the trick. The song doesn't give her the justice she actually deserves.
18th: Portugal
