I think Declana was very tried yesterday, she didn't feel like talking much and almost fell asleep in class. I on the other hand was wide awake, and still am. Anyway, there's very much to do, and very little time, and we have barley started our science project! Still, no time for that right now, because I need to make it on time to the boys basketball practice, that starts in the morning before school does on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We'll have other practices but our coach will tell us when they are later today once he finds proper dates. I for one am mostly free so any day will do. Finally! Since it's very early I beat James to the shower! Score: Me:1, James:0. Then I remembered that the laundry was done yesterday, which meant I get clean clothes! Today shaping up to be a good day! After a well-deserved shower I was finally feeling fresh! I slipped into a shiny shirt and comfy pants and then went downstairs for breakfast. Yes! Katlyn was still in the shower, which meant healthy breakfast for me! Score: Me:1, Katlyn:0. I fried myself some real eggs and bacon and savoured every crumb. I've never eaten a breakfast like that! After that I got my bag. It was clean as ever, and I didn't see any boobytraps set. Score: Me:1, Riley:0. With the biggest smile on my face, I ran out the door, across the schoolyard, and into the gymnasium. All the other boys were already there, but none looked as happy as I was. We played basketball for awhile, I played very well, and shot most of the hoops! Ethan didn't look very happy. Then it was time for a break. I sat on the benches, gulping down water from my water-bottle. When I was fully hydrated, Ethan and some boys came over to me. "What do you want?" I asked. I don't think even they could ruin my perfect day. But I soon realized I was horribly wrong. "You're feeling a little too confident huh? You think you're protected," stated Ethan, doing his evil grin. "Um, yeah I'm confident. And you guys ain't gonna stop me. Wait, what are you talking about anyway?" I wondered. "We're talking about you're so-called best friend, who we really know is just your bodyguard," replied Ethan.  "Who, Declana? No! She's really is my best friend!" I exclaimed. "Really? Or do you just keep her around so real guys like us can't hurt you?" teased Ethan. "I just know that you will do whatever she tells you to. But for the record, we are and always will be best friends!" I remarked. "Then why did you only like her when she stood up for you?" asked Ethan. I was furious,"Because, because then, I really noticed that-" "You can't even say it! Face it, you're too much of a coward that you need a girl to protect you! Wait til she finds out!" laughed Ethan out loud. Now I was bursting with rage. I pushed Ethan, and he fell on his back. Ethan stood up. He was angry. He pushed me on my back. Since he was stronger than me, that hurt even more. Score: Me:0, Ethan:1. But I knew Declana was my best friend and Ethan was just teasing me. We played some more rounds of basketball. Ethan got all the shots. I barley played. When practice was finally over, I met Declana in the schoolyard. "How was practice?" she asked. "Well what do you think!" I asked her back sarcastically. Declana said,"Oh, okay, do you-" "No! I can deal with this myself!" I yelled. I hate Ethan. I just hope Declana won't find out what he said. It wasn't true anyway.
