Keith

After basketball practice on Friday, I was totally torn apart. What have I done. Ethan could ruin my reputation if I didn't say yes to him, and our team would be at stake. On the other hand I've already let Declana down and I promised her I wouldn't do the same thing this time. The last time I was forgetful and couldn't go, but this time is different. I didn't forget about Declana when Ethan made that deal with me, I simply agreed to disobey her willingly. Maybe I did do the wrong thing. But I've always wanted to play in the Sports Centre, so I clearly don't know what I got myself into. As you can see, I'm a total wreck. I walk home in anxiousness, trying my best to avoid and ignore my annoying siblings. I fell onto my bed and fall asleep. Saturday was probably the most stressful day in my life. I had to go to basketball practice again, a constant reminder of my wrong doings, and I was barley paying any attention to the game and spent all my time pondering my decisions. If only someone could make the choices for me! But at the practice, all anybody was talking about was the big trip to the Sports Centre. Even the coach was approving of it! Now if I said I wouldn't go with them, the whole team would be against me. But I just think Ethan just thought of this to look cool and be popular, which is everything he ever wants and ever wanted. Ever since I met him in kindergarten! Still, something just didn't feel right the whole time. But if I said no now, everyone would hate me! Except Declana, she'd be proud. But that's probably gonna be the other way around, thanks to a certain someone. When basketball practice is finally over, I go to my room to sleep again, but I had a devastating nightmare! I was standing in front of Declana, she was crying. "I thought I could trust you! I thought you were my best friend! But you ditched me for a guy you don't even like. What have you done Keith? What have you done!" she cried. She slowly started falling, and then lay there, unconscious. After that, Ethan came, took her away and threw her off a cliff! "No!" I yelled as I woke up. It was the middle of the night already. I went to my window and stared into the deep, dark, starry sky. I wished upon a star, not even a shooting one. There wasn't time to wait for it. To make everything be alright. On Sunday I woke up startled as well, and before my thoughts could get the best of me, I told my parents to drive me to the Sports Centre as quickly as they could. "So glad to see you finally loosening up," stated Ethan, patting me on the back. "So glad to be here," I replied, fake smiling. Let's just get this over with. Maybe I can make it home in time for Declana to still come over and work on the project! Yeah, dream on. The game was cool, and the halftime was even cooler! The our mini game was totally awesome and I even completely forgot about Declana. The camera even pointed to me a couple times during the actual game! It was the best day of my life, my dream come true! But when I came home, that dream ended ever so quickly. I tried to sneak past my siblings again, but I found myself standing in the shadow of the best cook in the house. "Declana was over. She was extremely disappointed in you, so are we and mom and dad! We tried to make Declana happy but it was no use! You broke her heart. I hope you're happy about that," Katlyn stated and walked away. I fell on the floor. Was it worth it? Not doing the right thing. Betraying my best friend. Call it what you wish, I am a traitor. I decided to not show my face in school tomorrow. Not that any one would want to see it. Or ever will again.
