Declana

That horrid night, I didn't catch one wink. The bags under my eyes grew significantly and I grew more and more nauseous even faster. In the morning Ernest fed me a breakfast of fresh strawberries and oranges, which were quite very delicious. He said they needed to feed me so I would have a higher blood sugar level, which would make the juices work at they're best. He also said that's the only food I'm going to eat until they reject the juices so I'll have to enjoy it. Believe me, I will. Whenever I wanted to go to the restroom, Ernest and his Father would untie me and escort me to the outhouse, where they'd guard the door until I'm finished. Then, they'd escort me back to the wall and tie me up again. Very high security. Ernest's Mother was back in the town so sometimes the boys would take shifts talking with me for there own entertainment, as well as for mine. Whenever I called, they'd bring me a glass of water to drink from, and hold it out to my mouth so I could take a sip. It was kind of like having servants, but it was the least they could do since I'll be killed tomorrow. That though blazed around my head, like a tornado, sucking up anything happy I remember. I just wanted to be with my family, with my friends. If I have anymore that is. I was captured. Held hostage. Hopeless.

Keith

We hiked through the forest for so long, my legs fell asleep on the job. Though I think Paige was even more tired, given that she was sniffing our trail nonstop. I scavenged around for berry bushes, rivers, and animal as I said before. "Stream!" I called out to Paige. "A stream! Thank goodness!" she replied and dashed straight for it. We were already both parched, and we were saving our emergency water bottle for emergencies. Water can be used for more than just drinking, We could use it to distract an animal that would be chasing us, or to put out a small fire. Or to drink in a place where there wouldn't be any streams. To be honest, I was just about to take it out to get a sip. We gulped down the fresh stream water like we haven't drank in days, which it felt like. After about a ten minute break of rest, hydration, and lounging around, we were on our way once more. We didn't seem to get past any berry bushes so we each ate one breadstick. It saved us from starvation just a bit. It got darker much quicker in the forest, and much more spookier. Before we knew it, a colony of bats flew right over our heads! "You were suppose to alert me for any animals!" complained Paige. "Do you expect me to see a colony of bats when I can't even see my own feet?" I answered. "Fine, I'll turn on the flashlight just a little, we need to save the batteries," replied Paige and turned the flashlight on. Much better. We trotted on for about one more hour, until we were both much too tired to go any further. "We need to set up for the night," I stated. "Okay Keith. I'll take our sleeping bag out of my backpack while you find a cozy spot to put it," replied Paige. I looked around, even if I couldn't see much. "Let's go by that big tree," I suggested, pointing to a very large tree. "Umm, okay. Normally I wouldn't go with this because of lightning but we're surrounded my trees and it's highly unlikely for it to strike anyway so it's worth a shot," remarked Paige and placed our stuff by my spot. We got into our one big sleeping bag together, we were cousins anyway. And at this point, we really needed the warmth. Especially to pass a dark, freezing night in the middle of a forest. It was hard to fall asleep, but we managed, for we were extremely exhausted. The last things we saw that day, were the gorgeous stars, lighting up the sacred sky.
