The rest of that night didn't get any better. After the concert there were activities and snacks. I have to admit, the cupcakes were great, but not even the treats could brighten my spirits. I left the celebration early, because all I wanted to do was sleep. I've been tired out for a day! But I had to go alone because Margaret still wanted to stay with my parents. Once I got into my house, I ran up to my room and fell on my bed. Then, something blue and shiny caught my eye once more. I guess I had nothing better to do than solve a mystery so I went over to my closet were I found the blue rose and the note humbly lying on my chair. I picked up the rose and opened the note.
Go to Medowdall Hill
Where you will hear me call
For this is the last note I give you
To show you who I am once and for allWait! Is this what I think it is? That last note! The final meeting. I guess either they really want to show me who they are, or they realized I was going nowhere with their clues. But, the clues did state the person liked basketball, made a new friend, is forgetful, and is easily influenced by others. And to be honest, there's only one person I know who fits the description perfectly. Keith. Could it be? Could it have been Keith this whole time? Confessing his feelings to me? I must say there are plenty of mixed up feelings I have for this, but if Keith really wants to see me, and really wants to make things better, I'm up to it. He would meet me at Medowdall Hill, a huge hill leading into the forests of the coat of our town. It's right by the great tree, as you would have guess, it's a very big old tree in the middle of Medowdall Hill. I wasted no time. I grabbed my coat and dashed out the door. It took me a couple minutes to get all the way up the hill but I finally got there. It was sunset, and the great tree stood proudly in it's spotlight. The wind blew fiercely, as I tried to identify the figure standing right in from of the tree. Once I got my vision straight, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was right! Keith was standing right in front of the great tree on Medowdall Hill with his arms wide open, smiling at me. It was that smile that caught my attention all those weeks ago. That warm, welcoming smile. I almost teared up, but I ran up to him with all my might. "It was you, all this time," I said, breathlessly. "Who else could it be? I'm so sorry about how I treated you lately, I was such a fool," replied Keith. I smiled. I beamed. I wanted to hug him. But as soon as I touched his hand, he glitched. I jumped back. I touched him again. There was really nothing there! It was a hologram! Suddenly, Ernest walked to me from behind the great tree. "Pleasant to see you here too, darling," he smirked, and threw a bag over my head. After that, everything went black. A few minutes later, I woke up. I was tied a wall. I couldn't move an inch! "There's no point of struggling, we took care of that," stated Ernest, standing in front of me. Behind him, two figures emerged. The man and the woman dressed in black that I saw earlier! And their cat too! "These are my parents, as you should know by now, my Mother is a doctor and my Father is a scientist." "So? What's the point? Where am I anyway?" I asked. "You are in our little cottage, far deep in the woods, a.k.a our secret lab, where we grow the rarest plant in the world, the blue rose," replied Ernest, showing me a garden of six blue roses outside. I gasped. It was Ernest all along! So many unanswered questions flew round my head. So many feelings to fix.
