An Orange Rose

Yesterday was just so amazing. Just three friends, sitting by the fire. Like old times, only this time, we were all friends. Ever since our whole adventure, we've all learned a couple of important things. Declana learned that things take some time, things sometimes appear out of the blue, so you don't have to be angry right away the next time Keith misses something important, (which he probably will). She would stay calm until she figured out what was really going on, which is sensible. Keith learned to never just abandon your friends for some other cooler people, and to listen to what your friend says. Both Keith and Declana learned to not leave a friend as a third wheel. Finally I learned that, if you make yourself stand out a little, and shine your true light, you won't be always in the middle or so alone anymore! No one really knew about all of that blue rose stuff other than us , so nobody knew about our brave and noble rescue except Declana, Keith and me. That's why they really recognize it and told lots of other people at our school what a wonderful person I am, which made my heart melt. But I also learned that being popular isn't really that important, not when you have the right friends that care about you and are so loyal and honest. Last but not least. I learned that friendship isn't just about other people having your back, it's really when those people have each other's backs, and when they do, they have yours too. Everything else turned out great for everyone! Allison won the junior baseball trophy for scoring a home run for her team every single time she batted on the tournament! As for Ernest's family, both his parents were found in the woods and sent to jail, and Ernest now goes to a juvenile detention centre out of town. But we have the best results! Now everyday, we meet up and don't do a single thing without each other, unless if necessary. And from time to time, Allison joins us, because she says we're the best group of friends in are whole class, which is totally believable. We've all really redeemed ourselves, but there's no one happier, than Keith and Declana, that are best friends at last.

Declana

After a fun filled day with my two bestest friends, I went home and plopped onto my bed. There I saw Buster pointing to something on the floor. I stood up and looked a bit closer. It was a rose and a note! But not a blue rose this time. It was an orange rose! And to be honest, I liked this one much more than the last. I opened up the note.

Some roses are orange
Others may be blue
So go to Medowdall Hill
To see who I am true

I smirked. And without hesitation, I dashed, out of my room, grabbed my coat, and raced away. It took me awhile to climb the hill, but soon, the great tree was shining in the sunset, right before my eyes. In front of it, was none other than Keith. I ran into his arms. And this time, they were real. We sand a song together and danced, had the time of our lives. We talked, we laughed. We smiled. And just before the sun fully set, we skipped away across the hill, heading for the sun. Heading for the light. Heading, for happiness. But the thing is, we were already there. So you ask, where were we going then? Well, what's the fun in knowing?
