I've been so busy dear friend that I am just now getting around to writing in you. Things at Aunt Starr's have gotten better and she's loosened up a little and I can honestly say we are close now. She opens up to me more and we've done more together this week than ever before. I actually LIKE being here! Imagine that!
We went to an art show yesterday that a friend of Aunt Starr was holding at the little gallery right by our house. Different people exhibited their paintings and I'll tell you they were beautiful. One painting in particular really moved me. It was of a giant wave with beautiful blue streaks. It was so real looking you would almost forget that it was a painting!
Then the day before we went to a bible study meeting and then church, and I must say I even enjoyed that. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God and Jesus
and the holy spirit, I just never understood the hypocrisy that often went hand in hand with religion. I began questioning all this when I was nine but kept
it to myself. Somehow I knew no one would understand and I would get yelled at. Well gotta run. Aunt Starr and I are gonna work on her garden.
Won't that be fun?
