I'm now getting an allowance. Aunt Starr pays me five dollars when I do chores around the house or if I get a good grade on a test. In some ways, Aunt Starr is acting more like mom. Sometimes mom would give me and Terry an allowance for doing chores. She started doing it for me when I was seven. I would use it to buy mom and dad or Terry gifts, usually small stuff since I didn't have much.
I'm actually saving my money though because I've had my eye on this painting I think Aunt Starr would love. It's of a tranquil field, with Jesus
standing with a group of people just holding hands. It's fifty dollars and it will take time to put the money together but I will do it! And if I can't then I will paint my own picture for her.
It's worth a shot.
