Chapter 31- Back In No Time

*Jc's Point of View*

The hardest thing to do was letting Brielle go. It hit me so hard. I know she'll end up being happier at home. I want her to be happy but that scares me. I want her to be happy with me and it hurts me that she can't be.

When I thought she was fine, there was something that she was hiding. It's hard to understand what is hurting her. She is a very secluded person. It's hard to get through to Brielle. Once you do, if you mess up it's 10 times harder to get it back.

I can't help feeling partially responsible for the fact that she left. I hurt her way too many times for her to feel comfortable again. I look back at the times I yelled at her. It brought tears to my eyes. If I had just calmed down, if I had trusted Connor Brielle would be happy. Brielle would be here. She would be sleeping with me every night, right by my side.

The little things I take for granted are starting to make me realise how important Brielle is to me. I'm nervous about tonight. I'm going to miss my babe.

I gripped the steering wheel. I had just dropped of Brielle at the airport with her mom. We hugged for while. She held my waist and I wrapped my arms around her. Her head was buried in my chest. I kissed her forehead but I let my lips linger. We released our grasps and just looked at each other. Her mascara was smuged under her eye.

I wiped it away. "Smile please. We'll see each other before you know it." "I know, I'm just going to miss you. You know that." Brielle said looking up at me. "I know babe, just stay strong for me. Okay?" I said pushing the hair out of her face.

Brielle nodded and pecked me on the lips. I let her go and grabbed her suit case and handed it to her. "Have a safe flight," I said as she grabbed it. Before she walked away I grabbed her hand. "I love you," I said looking into her eyes. She smiled, "I love you too Jc."

My heart hurt but I knew this was best for my girl. She'd be back in no time.

*Brielle's Point Of View*

"I love you too Jc," I said as I walked away from Jc. My heart hurt but I knew this would be best for me. I'll be back in no time.
