Lexa's POV

"What the fuck are you doing? Who is she?" Lexa screamed at Ontari as she was holding her down on the cold basement floor. "Lexa, please. I found her sneaking around outside acting like a walker, probably being a spy for another group. So I took her in," Ontari shrugged. "That's a little girl! What if she's innocent, will you feel guilty then?" Lexa asked. "I don't give a flying fuck who she is anymore, she won't reply to me when I ask her questions. She hardly even changes her expression!" Ontari screamed back at Lexa. The brunette just sent a cold stare down at the girl she was holding down. "You need to leave, and never come back again. Don't speak to anyone on your way out, don't go back to take supplies. Leave with what you have, and never come back. Do you understand me?" Ontari just rolled her eyes at the girl and Lexa stood up, letting the girl go. "If I ever see you again, I'll kill you." she watched Ontari walk all the way out and followed her upstairs to make sure she left. As soon as she walked out the garage door, she ran down the stairs to the unconscious little girl. She talked to her, telling her it was going to be okay even though she couldn't hear her. Lexa untied the girl and picked her up carrying her up the stairs to the main building.

"Abby!" Lexa screamed throughout the building. Abby came rushing down to her, seeing the limp body in her hands. "Who-" she began but Lexa cut her off. "She needs help, Ontari knocked her out and she's losing a lot of blood from the cuts she put on her, please Abby!" Lexa was almost begging her, even though she had no idea who she was holding in her arms. "Follow me," Abby said running down the hallway and opening the door to a room. Lexa placed her on the bed, and Abby asked her to leave so she could run some tests with the supplies they'd managed to gather. Lexa took one last look at the little girl, nodding before she left. I looked down at my watch, seeing it was time for my watch. "Fantastic," I muttered. I ran to Octavia's room, asking if she could wait in the room where Abby took the little girl and to tell me when she woke up. She looked at me with a confused expression but then nodded in agreement.

I've been outside for 3 hours, taking my anger out on any walkers that came near wishing it was Ontari's head I slid my sword through. Now I'm just waiting. Waiting for the girl to wake up.

Octavia's POV

I've been sitting in here forever, just looking around the room and at the girl. When Lexa barged into my room like that, I thought we were all about to die. I've never really seen her like that, except when she's scared for Clarke. When Abby left, she tied down the girl to the bed just to make sure she didn't do anything stupid when she was to wake up. The girl was asleep on her back, and I had tons of questions. That was when she woke up. She opened her eyes, not even noticing me when she quickly tried to sit up and get out of the bed but frowned when she discovered she was tied to it. "Fuck," I heard her mutter and then she saw me and instantly stopped moving. "Well look who's finally awake!" I said to her. She kept the same expression, not even flinching at my voice. I got up and walked over to her. "Now, I have to go tell my friend who's worried about you for some odd reason that you're awake, and you should thank her when she comes in. She beat the shit out of the girl who beat the shit out of you and kicked her out. So, yeah." I said looking at her as her face never even moved. She didn't say a word, so I walked out of the room and down to the garage to get Lexa and tell her the girl was awake. "Hey, Lexa. She's awake," I said in a comforting tone. "Great! Can you please take over my shift, for now, yours is in a half an hour anyway," Before I could answer, Lexa practically ran away through the garage and up the stairs.

Lexa's POV

When Octavia told me that the girl was awake, I practically sprinted up the stairs. I sprinted down the hallway, a stopped in front of the door before opening it slowly and walking in with a powerful stride. "Well, look who's awake," Lexa said. "So I know you don't like to talk, but you can trust me. I promise," I said coolly. "So, my name is Lexa. Lexa Woods. And you are?" I said holding out my hand. The girl just took a quick glance at my hand and then looked up at me. I pulled my hand back, trying not to act awkward. "Alright, what can I do to make you trust me enough to talk?" I sighed. The girl's expression doesn't change. Ontari wasn't lying. The girl nodded towards her restraints and pulled her hands up, and I understood. "You want me to let you go?" I asked. She nodded and pulled at the restraints again. "Alright, but please. Don't try to run. I promise you-you'll be okay," I said before reaching for her restraints. I untied her wrists and ankles, completely freeing the girl. She just sat up on the bed, rubbing her wrists before reaching to feel the bruises on her face. "No- don't touch your face. It will just hurt more," I told her. The girl didn't listen and touched all over her face. "Lauren," I heard the girl mumble. "Lauren? That's a pretty name. Should we start this again?" Lexa asked and the girl nodded slowly. "Hello, my name's Lexa, and you are?" I waited a few seconds until she responded. "Lauren," she said taking my hand and shaking it. She had a strong grip, and her hands had callouses all over them from being out in the world. "So, how old are you?" I asked but she was quick to respond to this question. "Before I tell you anything, you have to earn my trust. So please, tell me about you first," Lauren said.
