Lauren's POV
Lexa left me alone with the dark-haired girl for the day. She seemed nice, but I like Lexa better. I think Clarke is Lexa's girlfriend, I've seen the way they look at each other. "So, what do you want to do?" Octavia asked in an awkward tone. I shrugged, not knowing what there even is to do. "Where were you before you came here?" Octavia looked at me and asked, "Do you just want to know the whole story?" I nodded, and she began her story. "Clarke, Raven, and I were best friends since Kindergarten," I looked at her with a confused expression. "I'll explain about her later," she said with a sigh. "Anyways, we were with Clarke and her mother at the start of this. Along with her boyfriend Finn, and my brother Bellamy. We ran, looking for better shelter. Clarke found this place back in Arizona where we took shelter. We lasted there a long time, and Raven tied us into traffic cameras so we could have so-called eyes in the sky according to Raven. She's a fantastic mechanic, but don't tell her that. It'll inflate her ego even further. One day, most of our group went on a supply run for better stuff just leaving Clarke and her mother behind. We had to stop our cars and hide because there was someone else crossing the street in a truck. I was in the back of a truck by myself, and Lincoln saved me from being taken. You know who he is, right?" I nodded and let her continue.
"Well, all of those people were taken including Raven, Finn, and my brother. I was taken back to Lexa's set up with Lincoln and Lexa noticed a hoard was coming a few days later. We all rushed to go and get Clarke and her mother, then set off to California and here we are now," she shrugged her shoulders and looked at the floor. "Who took them?" I asked in a calm tone. If I can, I want to help them get their people back. They seem amazing. "The factory people," I screamed on the inside but showed nothing on the outside. I fucking hate those people and honestly, I wouldn't mind helping someone else get rid of them. "I can help you," I said. "With what?" "I can help you get the people you love back," She just looked at me with wide eyes. "How?" she said with a slight stutter.
"I used to be one of them. I would always sneak out through a hidden passageway that no one else knows about. I can also get in through it," I said. "This can't be happening. Are you serious?" she said in an excited tone. "We have to talk to Clarke and Lexa," she said. "I'll go find them," I said. "I'll come with you," she followed me out the door. Octavia was soon in front of me, clearly excited to get her people back. I followed her down and upstairs, looking in every room for the couple. "Where the hell are they?" Octavia asked after looking in a room. "Did we already check their rooms?" I asked. "Of course-no we didn't, I'm so fucking stupid," she said and facepalmed. She began to run again, checking Clarke's room first. We ran up a ton of stairs just to find they weren't in there. The final room to check was Lexa's. We came to her door, both out of breath. I went to reach for the door handle but Octavia stopped me. "I'll open it, I have no idea what they are doing in there," she said in a whisper. I nodded and watched as she slowly opened the door and peeked inside. "I'm not going to look, but whatever you're doing break it up! I have a child!" she yelled to the two inside. Octavia pulled the door open all the way and walked inside. I followed, seeing Clarke and Lexa sitting next to each other on the floor with some paper and drawing utensils in front of them. Clarke's cheeks were red with her blushing, and Lexa was smirking at Octavia. "What do you want?" Lexa questioned.
"Oh I don't know," she looked around the room. "Maybe our people back!" she squealed. "I know, I'm working on finding a solution for that," Lexa replied. "But we have one," Octavia looked her dead in the eyes and took me by the shoulders to place in front of her. "And it's right here," Lexa just looked at me with a confused expression. "I can get us in, I know where their cameras are, when the security's on, and how to get in without being seen," I looked at her with a stoic expression. She stood up, looking right at me. "There's only one problem," I said. "I'm the only one small enough who can fit through it," Everyone was now staring at me. "I'll have to go alone,"
"Then no, we can't do that," Lexa said looking at me. "You can't go in there alone, I won't let you," Lexa cared about me. "Lexa, I'll be fine. I can radio in and talk to you, all I have to do is get to your people and let them out. You can just wait outside in the cars, I'll be okay," I said in a reassuring voice. Clarke took Lexa aside and spoke to her, and soon enough she agreed. "I'll let you do it, but if anything happens to you I'll be the one to blame," She was trying to convince me not to do it, but there was no way I wasn't going to do it. "Then nothing will happen to me," I said with a small smirk. Octavia came up behind me and gave me a hug. "Thank you so much," she whispered in my ear. She released me from her grip, and I gave her a slight nod. "I want to go tonight," I said. It was around noon, and I wanted to get their people back as soon as possible. Lexa was about to say something but Clarke cut her off. "We'll try for tonight, then. Are you sure you'll be okay in there alone?" I nodded at her and gave her a smile. "I'll be just fine,"
