I don't know if I said it before but do you know that feeling when you stay in front of your girlfriend's house and feel like it's prom? Well, that's not the case, but it's graduation day. I'm actually wearing a suit today. And yes, I'm feeling very uncomfortable. For some reason, our school doesn't have a prom night, which is fine with me. We hadn't that stupid ceremony with that weird hats and robes either, which is also more than fine with me. Which wasn't fine with me is that I couldn't stay with Rachel the night because I had my whole suit at home.
So here I am, ready for this fucking last day of school and then off to freaking Los Angeles. I still can't believe that we're heading out off Arcadia Bay. To our luck, the only struggle that we'll have is the moving. No problem with job searching nor anything.
I rang the doorbell as usual and I was greeted by my beautiful girlfriend. She wore a fancy red dress with decent makeup on. She even wore heels which she'll probably regret later on. "Hey there, beautiful," I smiled at her before pulling her in for a kiss. To my luck, she hadn't any lipstick on. "You don't look so bad yourself." I took her hand and we walked to my truck.
"Ready?" I asked her, before starting the engine. "Hella ready! I can't wait to go through the halls of Blackhell for the last time ever." - "Same," I smiled at the thought of that.
When we reached Blackwell, I struggled with finding a parking spot. "Do you think someone cares about it if I just park in the disabled spot? It's the only free spot I can see." - "You'll do it anyway." - "You know me too well." With that said, I just parked there. I bet no one cares about that today.
We reached the hall in time. The whole thing would start in 10 minutes or so. I spotted Mikey and Steph talking to each other. Rachel understood me without words and we made our way to them. "What a surprise, seeing you in a dress, Steph. I actually thought you're more of a suit lesbian." - "Chloe, that's stereotyping," Steph answered. "Well, as you can see I am that kind of stereotype so I am allowed to do so," I laughed, all 3 joined. "So what are your future plans, guys?" I heard Rachel ask them. "We both aren't sure yet. But we'll stay in Arcadia, that's for sure. What about you two lovebirds?" - "We'll head to freaking Los Angeles. We both already have a job there and my dad bought us a house, so no starter problems." Steph and Mikey looked at us in disbelief. "Damn, I wish I had parents like that, too!" Mikey said out loud. Fortunately, his parents were standing at the buffet.
President Wells started his speech, eventually. Even though the whole students were quiet, no one of us was listening. Everything became much more interesting. Especially when you had a beautiful girlfriend standing next to you in a tight dress if you know what I mean.
We just started to pay attention again when the first student of our year was called to get on the stage to get his certificate. We watched the students walk up there and get in a row after receiving their certificate, probably for the photo. Next one was Rachel. She shook hands with the principal and joined the group of students. Then was Steph's turn, then Mikeys and then finally mine. I was hoping that Wells wouldn't give me a comment but there goes my hope. He handed me the certificate at first, shook my hand and, of course, commented on my bad behavior and how it's a wonder to him that I passed school. But fuck him.
After a lot more students and that photo, I'll hopefully never see, we fucking did it. The whole room then rushed to the buffet except a few people, like me and Rachel. We were joined by our parents, they hugged us and said how proud they are. Even Sgt. Pepper was there but our relation approved a lot since I'm barely at home and he accepted my relationship with Rachel, probably seeing that it's not nonsense as he put it two months ago.
When the masses at the buffet slightly disappeared, we thought we might get something to eat, too - but to our luck, there was only seafood left, which all of us disliked. Mom said she'd make something for us at the diner, inviting James and Rose, too. And to my surprise, they actually agreed. Don't get me wrong, they're nice people but I thought they might wanna get something more 'fancy'.
I felt a nudge in my ribs, coming from Rachel. "Ready to pack the boxes?" - "Hell yeah! But first I have to get out this suit." - "Yeah, same, these heels are killing me and my feet." I had to laugh. "I knew you'd say that."
We agreed on a time to meet with my mom at the diner before we went our separate ways.
We're so ready for it! Watch out LA, we're coming!
A/N: Guys, tmo will the last chapter be up. Hope you're mentally prepared. Sorry if not. I excuse beforehand! (Hello to the worldstar squad again, love you guys)
