Chapter 25 - some worries

Alice is there in less then half an hour, when she arrives, i sit in the kitchen, Jacob and Nick have both gone to bed.
- Hi Jacks, how are you feeling? she asks me.
- Like a broken Jack bottle, i say with a weak smile.
- Come on, let's do this test before 'Money' wakes up and realize you ain't in bed with him, she says and we go in to the empty guest bedroom to get that second test done.

As i get my pants and underwear down i see to my delight, that i dont bleed anymore, a sign that all will be well or a sign that the shit is about to hit the fan even more? i think to myself.
- So....let's see how everyone is doing...Alice says as she starts.

When i see the baby move on the mini ultra sound machine that Alice brought with her, tears of relief well up.
- Your baby is still alive and healthy, the bleeding was caused by something else, like if Jacob was too rough with you during sex, when was the last time you had sex? Alice asks me.
- Last night, i say. He was rough, rougher than usual...
- Then there you have it, tell him to be more gentle next time...and that shouldnt be too soon, maybe in the next three days, Alice says and hugs me. I'm so happy you two made it work, not like me and Jackson, one little bump in the road and we split up.
- Hey! That wasnt just some little bump in the road, he cheated on you all the time, he beat you, all the time, way more often and more times than 'Money' has done to me, i beat back the times he dares lay a finger on me, i say.
