Chapter 25: The Surprise

* Regan's POV *

Coming into the house & reading a note left by August. The note read:

Rae,

Put on something casual & meet me in Napa Valley winery garden. I've got a special dinner planned for us.

I smiled & looked in my closet. August obviously had went & bought me a dress because it was unfamiliar with a tag still on it. It was beautiful. A light blue dress that would be flowing in the wind. That's what I liked most about August. We both went through struggles & landed on top. Small things mattered most to us both. I arrived in the winery garden & the lights came on. August grabbed my hand & my our families & friends started coming out of no where.

August: Rae?

Regan: Yeah? What are they doing here?

August didn't say anything, he just bent down on one knee & still holding my hand. I already knew exactly what was going on. I could feel the tears coming up in my eye & I was so excited that I started laughing. August smiled.

August: Don't nobody know a nigga like you. You the only one understand the hustle, shit the only one to understand me. You been here for me like nobody has & that's some G shit.

I nodded my head & started smiling. Our family & friends standing behind smiling & watching everything go down. Kendrick gave August a blue velvet box.

August: Will you marry a nigga like me?

He smiled & opened the box. Inside was a pink diamond that I quickly fell in love with. A tear fell down my cheek.

Regan: YES! YES! YES!

August put the ring on my finger & stood. We embraced for a hug & kiss. Everyone clapped us on.
