Chapter 31: My Unborn

* Kennedy's POV *

The pregnancy bliss had been wonderful. Me & Kendrick had taken plenty pictures & baby Duckworth had to be one of the most talked about topics. I didn't see a baby in my future for another 2 years, but this only meant to happen & I was happy with that. Everyone was happy & excited for me. I had gotten over my sick days & although everything seemed perfect, Kendrick hadn't been around as much as I'd like. He walked through the door & gave me a forehead kiss, continuing his path towards the kitchen.

Kennedy: Where you coming from?

Kendrick: Studio with Q.

Kennedy: Well, did you see the note I left on the fridge?

Kendrick: Yeah.

He grabbed a water bottle & closed the fridge. He sat down at the table.

Kennedy: You know, you haven't been around much lately.

Kendrick: What you mean?

Kennedy: I mean, you aren't here as much. You're either eating, sleeping, partying, or in the studio. You missed the last doctor appointment.

Kendrick: I was out of town.

Kennedy: Excuse me, but you & that big ass gap could've flew here for the appointment! It's OUR child Kendrick, not just mine.

Kendrick: I'm sorry Kennedy for busting my ass & tryna make money since you don't throw much money on the table now that you're pregnant. Keeping a roof over you're head, food for you & the baby, & so we can only have the best.

Kennedy: This is what it's all about? Money?! You want money on the table?!

I grabbed my purse & poured all the money inside on the table in front of him.

Kennedy: Is that enough money for you're ass to be around more often?! Kendrick: Kennedy...

I walked into the bedroom & slammed the door. I laid down on the bed, maybe all I needed was some rest. I knew we couldn't easily leave each other anyways.

3 Hours Later...

Kendrick walked into the bedroom with some beef jerky & the gummies I loved. He laid down beside me & gave me a kiss on the cheek. I turned around & looked at him.

Kendrick: I've took off for the week. Maybe we could fly out to Mexico for vacation.

Kennedy: Really?

Kendrick: Yup. You know I'm always here. I've just got a lot going on. I want to offer our child with what we didn't have.

Kennedy: It already does. I love you gap.

Kendrick: I love you too big nose.

I laughed & he grabbed me in his arms, rubbing on our lil one.
