Before I could even process what was happening, I was being dragged out into the hallway by the same man had brought me in
"Hey! We had a deal! Is this how you want us to trust you!?" I screamed at Ash throught the door. The man tugged on my arm, taking me further down the corridor "He can't hear you" He spoke "May as well stop shouting"
I studied him for a moment, but he hid his emotions well. I couldn't see what he was thinking, what he was feeling. It was almost like he didn't even have emotions. He could be a robot for all I know. He ducked away from my stare, but his grip didn't loosen on my arm.
"Is he your leader?" I asked him, hoping that telling the truth would get me some answers after all. He ignored me "Ash. Is he your leader?" I asked again. I may have not gotten an answer, but a little emotion flickered across his face. Irritation.
"Is he? He acts like it, so I figured he was" I spoke again, trying my luck. Not that I had much, but if Ash wasn't going to give me answers, I may as well try someone else. It was worth a risk.
"You don't seem to like him" I noticed. The man's eyes visibly darkened and I had my answer.
"You don't like him, but you follow his orders" I assumed out loud, pushing him. "Are you enemies or something? Maybe you family feuds or you fought over some girl" I said, trying to get a crack at him.
"If you follow his orders - and so do those people in the room- he must be a leader of some sort" I said, trying to put pieces of the puzzle together. I was never good at puzzles. "If he is the leader, what do you do? Drag out annoying prisoners? Do you come running everytime he calls o-" He yanked me to the side, pinning me to the wall. On instinc my arms went around the hand he had clamped around my throat. Got him.
"I am not a dog!" He said. He was so close I could feel his warm breath on my neck as he spoke and it sent shivers down my spine. As if he was regaining control, he backed up and his hold on me released
"You think you know the way things work around here. Wake up and realise that you dont because if you keep going at it this way, you will get yourself killed. Have no doubt that I would kill you if I needed to, Could kill you right now actually" He threatened
"Whats stopping you?" I asked, looking into his eyes and seeing emotions I couldn't read. He shook his head and yanked me off the wall. We started walking again, back to my cell I suppose.
I stayed queit the rest of the way. I had pushed him hard enough, and I have no doubt whatsoever that he would kill me without hesitation. We walked down the white corridor, past the rest of the 100, past jaspers window,he was still there looking at me questioningly as we passed by. I tried to tell him that I was trying to understand what was going on, but the man shoved me past before I could even give Jasper a small smile.
As we reached the cell, Monty was there, looking through the circle glass. I gave him a sad look, hoping he would understand that I coudn't get any information. I think he did.
As I was about to walk into the room, the man pulled me back and whispered something so quietly I barely heard it
"I have hope" and with that, he left.
I was about to walk back to the bed, to sit down and let my thought float around in my head for a while, but Monty banging on his window drew me back to the door. I gave him a questioning look and he pointed towards my door in amazement. I stepped back and realised what he was so happy about. The door was closed, but not locked.
It was open
