Trinity sat in her room looking outside of her window with a sad expression. Today was her sixth birthday and all she wanted to do was go outside, but she couldn't. According to Liliana, she had been a bad girl and wasn't allowed to go outside of the castle. Trinity didn't remember doing anything bad though... She watched as Lydia ran around in the garden, looking around at all of the pretty flowers, while Liliana followed behind the younger girl.
The older woman had a smile on her face which Trinity had never seen before. The only time she actually smiled at someone was when it was Lydia. She just adored the little girl, but could care less about what happened to little Trinity. This hurt the purple haired girl deep down to her core. It hurt so much that her heart physically hurt. All she wanted was for her mother to love her. Was that too much to ask for?
Trinity heard her door open and turned to see that it was her father. He had something enclosed in his hand which made the young girl curious. Not in the mood to talk right now, she turned back to look out the window at her mother and little sister. She felt the bed dip down beside of her and her father followed her eyes. The sight he saw made him disappointed. His wife always treated their oldest daughter unfairly and it made his blood boil. He had tried talking to her about it, but she simply acted like what she was doing wasn't wrong.
"Hey, Kitten," Logan said to the sad little girl. Trinity said nothing to him and continued to stare out of the window. Logan's smile turned into a frown and then forced the smile on his face. "I got you something for your birthday," Trinity slowly looked over at him and he smirked teasingly at her, "Oh, so now you decide to notice me. I see how it is... You only love the things I give you, don't you? My daughter doesn't love me." Logan started to fake a sad face.
Trinity felt guilty and sat up to press a kiss to his cheek, "I do love you, daddy."
He wiped away the fake tears, "Really?" He asked her. Trinity nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck, and hugging him. After she let go of him, she looked down at the box in his hand curiously.
"What's in the box, daddy?" Trinity inquired. Logan opened the box with a smile revealing a beautiful, red heart ring. {Up top}Trinity gasped in amazement, "It's so pretty!" She exclaimed.
"It is. It's also yours now." Logan said smiling at his daughter's face.
Trinity looked up at him with wide eyes, "Really?" Logan nodded and helped her put it on. Sadly, it didn't fit and Logan laughed a little.
"Looks like it doesn't fit, but that's okay. You can wear it on a necklace then when it finally fits you, you can wear it." Logan stated as Trinity studied the ring in the palm of her hand. That's exactly what she did and to this day, she always keeps it on.
