STEFAN, ELENA, CHARLOTTE, and I were sitting on the couch together, waiting for Alaric to show up. In the brief time I've been with the gang, I've learned everyone, even people outside of the inner circle. First, there's the main four: Elena is Stefan's girlfriend, and she's very sweet to me. Stefan is the youngest Salvatore brother dating Elena and personally has became like a brother to me because of how much kindness he shows towards me. Damon is the eldest Salvatore brother, and he's sort of a lone ranger though I've noticed the looks he gives Charlotte. Charlotte is like family to Stefan, and a little more than that to Damon. She's been the kindest to me so far, and has always been willing to help.
Then, Bonnie is the loyal witch friend always there to help out Stefan and Elena, but her and Damon are a little on the rocks. Caroline is the bubbly blonde always there to make people feel welcome, and she's a golden girl in a way. However, her being turned into a vampire has seemed to derail her from being the golden girl. Matt is the ex-boyfriend of Elena and Caroline's current boytoy. Alaric is the history teacher at Mystic Falls High School and came after hearing word of vampires. His ex wife Isobel was turned by one, and Isobel has turned out to be Elena's birth mother.
Tyler Lockwood is a douchebag and a half, and we're suspecting he and his uncle Mason aren't humans. I can't say much because I've never met them, but from what Charlotte says they don't seem human. And Tyler seems creepy (Charlotte said he tried to flirt with her). Jeremy is Elena's kid brother who is now apparently her biological cousin, since she was adopted, since like I said before, her mom is Isobel. And that's what I've gathered so far, at least.
We all looked up when we heard a knock on the door. Ric. Damon stood and got the door, opening it to reveal a man who looked much younger than I pictured for a high school teacher. He came wearing a jacket, as Damon offered him a seat and he sat. "Thanks for coming, Ric. Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?" Damon jokingly offered.
"Charlotte mentioned you needed my help," Ric explained, getting comfortable in his seat.
"Yeah, we were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family," Stefan explained, looking into Alaric's eyes.
"Now, why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?" Alaric asked, and I couldn't tell if he was playing dumb or being sneaky.
"Well, you wouldn't. But your dead, not-dead vampire wife might," Damon explained, having to bring up Isobel.
"Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together," Elena specified.
"You said that she had spent years researching this town," Stefan reminded Alaric.
"Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls rooted in folklores and legends but at the time I thought much of which was fiction," Alaric explained to us, basically saying he had nothing. But there has to be more to it than that, Alaric loved Isobel. He must've listened to her crazy stories. That's what you do when you love someone. That's what I'd do if Henry told stories like that; I'd listen.
