I groaned as I slowly started to move around the small space. I tried to open my eyes, but the bright light burned them. I closed them again and tried to remember what happened. Emma and I were driving down the road, the radio started acting up and... then the Snow Queen was standing in the middle of the road. Emma tried to avoid her, but we ended up crashing. I tried to open my eyes again and let them adjust to the light.

I turn over to see that Emma isn't there. I quickly sit up and start looking around frantically for the older woman. She wouldn't just leave me, that's not something she would do. Sure enough, I saw her standing in the middle of the road talking to the one who made us crash. They seemed to be having very intense conversation. I rolled down my window and decided to listen in.

The Snow Queen appeared behind of Emma and Emma was shocked, "What the..," She trailed off. Emma reached out and her hand went through the snow projection. Her eyes were wide in shock and then she realized, "You're not here."

Emma pulled away and the Snow Queen's expression didn't change, "If I could be, I would. I'm trying to protect you, and that is the truth."

"I don't care what you say. That's the truth." Emma told her. She walked through the projection and it disappeared. She looked back once more before getting in the car. She said nothing as we continued to go to our destination.

Emma and I had finally arrived to a mansion. We could see lights from outside of one of the doors in the room. I was still having doubts and I don't know why. I can't be selfish right now. I can't be thinking about myself in a time like this. I should be thinking about the others and what could happen if I don't do this. Emma started to call out for Mr. Gold and he appeared behind us. I didn't pay attention to their conversation. I was still so caught up in my thoughts. As if on cue, I started to remember something.

It was one of the best times of my life which made it painful to look back on. I wasn't always the lonely and broken girl as it usually seemed like when I remembered something. I had a huge smile on my face and I was outside of the castle. I had snuck out without my mom knowing that I was gone. I was meeting up with a friend. She was two or three years older than me, but that didn't stop us from being best friends.

We were running in the middle of a beautiful field of flowers. It was our place... the place we always went to when we wanted to get away from something. The place we could truly be ourselves. I could feel myself tearing up at just the sight of it. We laid down in the flowers side by side and laughed. I turned to lay on my stomach as I looked up at the stars. It was our thing. I didn't really think much about the stars until she brought me out here. They always looked beautiful when we were in this field. She was the reason I had loved the stars so much now. My friend turned to lay on her stomach as well.
