two hands

what can we, and what can i, do to help bring all of us together rediscover the connection that lies within the roots of our beings?

don't our eyes open when we finally learn to listen to ourselves? when our self-inflicted wounds heal and our hands are emptied of our own burdens, so we have the space inside our heart to take other people in, and help them too? you have to take care of yourself first. but that is not the end of it — your hands should reach out to others as well as to yourself. for as audrey hepburn once said, the first hand is to help yourself, and the second to help others.

love is the essence of all souls in this universe. love retraces our roots that are entangled together beneath the soil from which we bloomed, it is what this world needs right now to heal. love is the mutual connection and harmony we have with each other. it is the moon and the tide, the lungs of the earth, accepting things for what they are and being true to your feelings and everything that this universe encompasses. it is a boundless energy that often goes so much to waste, because we search for love in all the wrong, crooked places. do not give only to expect something back. be so full of life that you overflow and can pour compassion to others without emptying yourself. kindness is free. it is the shortcut to love and a collective peace. help yourself, help others. listen. not just to figure out how to respond. just close your eyes and absorb your surroundings, your inner state . . . simply observe. if you learn to see with the heart, with no judgement, no fear, a veil will be lifted and you will discover a part of the universe that you have not seen before. and it all starts with holding out a hand.
