nurture your mind. plant good thoughts and pull out the roots of the bad ones. teach yourself to grow as a person, and recognise the moments in which your old habits start to resurface. condition your mind to think positively, because only when your garden blooms with flowers and trees, will the butterflies and bees come to you. you can't expect seeds to grow if you don't water them, right? you are the one choosing the things to come into your life. the good things, the bad things. of course, that is not to say that you will not experience darkness, that you have brought everything onto yourself. don't blame yourself for the things you cannot control. but, you can choose how to move on. to forgive, or to hold grudges. to lift your eyes forward, or keep looking back. you choose what to make out of the obstacles in your path. never give up, try your best to be happy, even during what seems like the hardest times. do not victimize yourself . . . do not blame your insecurities solely on others.
i know. it can be really hard to turn your mindset around. i am working on this, too. i have my own insecurities and weak sides, but i try my best every day to keep my face turned toward the light, the shadows behind my back. for we are creatures of habit, and once we start thinking a certain way, or start to surrender to the devils in our head, it can become a habit that is tough to grow out of. we start conditioning ourselves to think a certain way. a tiny seed of thought can lead to big consequences. suddenly it's not just a thought, it has become an action, and it has twisted your life around. a small whisper turns into a roar. a seed of self-doubt turns into a huge problem.
if you keep thinking that you are not good enough, that everyone hates you and your dreams can never be achieved, you will start to believe it. and your life will be shaped around these thoughts, and what used to be only negative thoughts will dominate your mindset and become your truth. when you choose to just look at and pour energy into the bad things, of course more bad things will come.
so whenever you catch yourself thinking negatively or bringing yourself down, stop. recognise the pattern of your thoughts and see how you can be more positive. open your mind. dig deep into yourself and be honest with yourself and your feelings. ask yourself, why do i feel inadequate? what gives me a bad influence? how can i attract positivity into my life? then spin the sky around to make something good out of it all, discard your insecurities and protective walls. turn bad into good, learn to blossom after a rainstorm. forgive the past, the scars you cannot erase away. tend to your wounds, keep planting good seeds. it is a long process. but soon will happiness start becoming an intuitive choice. you will learn to be free, unbound by the restricting thoughts that have cocooned your true self for so long. happiness sets you free . . . and that happiness is not just found in other people's arms. it stems from your own hands, the forest growing in your back garden. you choose your happiness. you choose your path, the life that will unfold in front of you. your innermost thoughts are the source to everything around you. your actions, choices, current position in life. they are all the outcomes of your mindset, remember that. choose to look positively. choose love over hate and caged resentment. you have the power to shape your life the way you want to. do believe that, and grow to become a better person.
