Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Himika waited impatiently for their sensei to arrive. He told them he had news for them, but again he's late.
"Ugh! He picks a time then doesn't show up on time!" Sakura yelled in frustration. "I didn't even have enough time to blow dry my hair!"
"I didn't have time to brush my teeth or change my underwear!" Naruto said.
"Gross....." Sakura murmured.
"Now that I think about it I was going to get a snack before coming...." Himika muttered.
Her team shivered, remembering what a 'snack' was.
"Relax, I was talking about coffee." Himika reassured.
Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke sighed in relief. They waited longer on the wooden bridge for their sensei to come before they heard his casual voice.
"Sorry I'm late, I got lost on the path of life." Kakashi said, almost like it was a believable lie.
"Liar!" Naruto and Sakura yelled in unison.
"Anyways, I wanted to tell you all that I recommended all of you for the chuunin exams. But it's your choice if you want to go. If you do want to participate, go to the academy five days from now at three pm with your application filled out." Kakashi explained.
Naruto hugged Kakashi and Kakashi tried to pry the hyperactive kid off him.
"Thanks Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto beamed as he looked happily at his application form.
"That's all, I hope you all think this through." Kakashi said before disappearing.
"I'm going." Himika decided immediately.
"Me too!" Naruto agreed.
"Hn." Sasuke said, but he means that he's going too.
Sasuke and Naruto began thinking about the people they want to beat as Sakura and Himika walked next to each other.
"You can do it Sakura." The white haired female said as she placed her hand on Sakura's back.
After encouraging the pinkette Himika walked ahead of the group with Sasuke and Naruto. Sakura stared at Himika with a sense of respect, suddenly she regretted all of those times she had made fun of her. Sakura didn't notice it, but she was defiantly changing.
"I'll catch up with you guys later, I think I'm going to go hang out with Shikamaru." Mimika said.
"With the amount of time you spend with him people are going to think your dating!" Naruto exclaimed.
Himika felt her face heat up a little, but she really wasn't sure why.
"He's my best friend, is it bad to spend time with him?" Himika asked.
"Of course not! Have fun!" Naruto replied.
Himika waved goodbye and went to go find Shikamaru. She walked to their favorite hill, but surprisingly he wasn't there. Himika decided to look at the clouds, thinking that he might come later. Himika watched the fluffy clouds float by until she fell asleep, the sun's warm rays hitting her face.
Shikamaru had just finished meeting with his team about the upcoming chuunin exams and he was headed to his usual cloud gazing spot. As he walked up the hill he could see someone laying down there already. He got to the top and realised that it was Himika, who had fallen asleep watching the clouds. Shikamaru laid down next to the sleeping girl and started gazing at the clouds, taking glances at the sleeping girl. He saw her move a bit and noticed her nose twitch, she slowly opened her eyes (well the one that's visible). She let her eye adjust to the light and then turned her head to look at Shikamaru.
"Hey Shikamaru." She yawned.
"Hey sleepy." He chuckled.
Himika huffed. "I was waiting for you...."
"How'd you know I was going to come?" Shikamaru asked.
"I just did." She shrugged.
"I was talking with my team about the chuunin exams, my teams entering." Shikamaru said.
"My team too." Himika replied.
The two laid silently on their favorite hill until Himika said she had to leave. She was meeting the Hokage to pick up a special package.
"Bye Shikamaru, see you later." Himika said as she waved goodbye.
Shikamaru waved back and Himika made her way to the Hokage's office. She walked to the Hokage's building, approaching the familiar building, she went inside and climbed the stairs leading up to the Hokage's office. Himika knocked quietly three time's before the Hokage told her to enter.
"Hello Hokage-sama." Himika said with a slight bow.
"No need to be so formal Himika, I know why you're here." The Hokage said as he took a medium sized package out of a mini fridge under his desk.
It was big enough to possibly have two arms or legs in it. Himika took the package and thanked the Hokage before speeding off to her apartment. She unlocked her front door and went to her freezer, placing the unopened package inside. She wasn't really hungry right now and settled for a warm cup of coffee. She bought the store made coffee but wondered if she could make it herself. After drinking her coffee she decided to go out and do some some training, she was working on water style now.
'Water style: raging waves jutsu!' Himika thought as she sent a wave of water over the training field.
She scolded herself for not having it as strong as she liked. She was too busy training to notice the familiar face hiding in the bushes.
'So she is alive after all, and a ninja as well.' The white haired scientist thought as he watched her train. 'But we have no use for her, after all we have another successful ghoul.'
He was happy about his success but upset because he accidentally created Lord Orochimaru's new favorite, he was actually quite jealous that the newbie got all the attention.
Meanwhile Orochimaru was briefing the newbie on his new attack plan.
"When I give the signal during the chuunin exams, that is when we attack." Orochimaru explained.
"Understood Orochimaru-sama." The eighteen year old boy said as he adjusted his sound headband so that it acted as an eyepatch.
"I know you've never really had a name before, for the sake of the mission you will have a name." Orochimaru said.
The nameless ivory white haired boy nodded his head. He played the part as an obedient servant well, but the next chance he got he was going to use to escape his evil clutches.
