*dies*

(aka: thanks guys but I don't know how to say "thank you" the right way so I just died instead)

After a totally, completely healthy dinner of just pizza, all the guys disappeared to their rooms. You thought Mikey would maybe come back and play video games, but no.

They all just sort of quieted down and disappeared. Were they going to bed already?

Because...gosh.

It was early; barely even seven thirty, according to your watch.

Well. They were turtles. Maybe it was some turtle thing—sleeping extremely early. Maybe they got up really early too?

You poked around the lair some more, but not going near their rooms. You wanted to turn the TV on, but didn't want to wake them in case they really were sleeping.

Then you went to your room.

On your way, you passed by their bedrooms too. You didn't know which was which, but what you did know was that you heard a faint, soft, steady noise coming from behind the door of one of them. You stopped and listened.

Breathing.

Okay. They really were sleeping.

You hoped that if they got up early, they wouldn't wake you up too. You were not a morning person.

You went to your room and closed the door.

Half an hour later, you still weren't asleep. But you noticed something.

Neither were the others.

Whoever was sleeping before—if they even had really been sleeping—was up now. You heard what sounded like a phone alarm going off. You heard doors creaking open softly. And soft murmurs.

You got up, putting your ear against the door.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah."

"Where's F/n?"

"I think she's asleep."

"Hey, I'll go check, dudes."

"No—Mikey!" The voice raised slightly, and you recognized it as Leo's.

Panicking, you raced back to your bed, threw yourself underneath the covers, closed your eyes, and tried to steady your breathing. The author conveniently slowed down time for you so that you wouldn't be caught.

Your door creaked open, and you heard Mikey and Leo.

"Mikey, you can't just do that!"

"She's asleep," Mikey confirmed, ignoring Leo.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Apparently, Raph had joined them at the door. "Let's go!"

Their footsteps and voices faded away.

You waited for a moment. You sensed...a presence.

Opening your eyes very slightly, you saw one of the turtles standing in the doorway. Green eyes glowed at you in the dark.

What...I thought they left!

You stayed still.

"Raph!" called a voice. "Come on!"

The figure turned, and for a brief moment, you saw the color of his bandana.

Red.

Then he walked away.

Okay...so, Raph had just been...staring at you?

You were...not sure how to feel about that.

You waited another moment, then slipped out of bed and opened the door.

Wherever they were going, you didn't want to be left behind.

It wasn't very hard to follow them—you just had to follow the sound of splashes and low murmurs. One of the turtles seemed to be having a lot of fun splashing—probably Mikey, based on what you knew about them so far.

Then you heard a hissed whisper—"Mikey, stop!"—and the splashing stopped.

Unfortunately.

But that was okay, because now you could see that the turtles going up the ladder out of the sewer.

Uh? The turtles had kind of given you the impression that they never left the sewers, except to get food.

What are they doing?

You climbed up after them.
