Thanks, guys :D

After some arguing, it was decided that you could stay with the turtles, because, as Raph said, "Relax, Leo, it's not like there are any big bad evils waiting for us. We defeated them already."

Leo had reluctantly agreed. "But I don't want you to go on any more patrols with us after this," he'd said.

You had ignored that. You'd cross that bridge when you came to it.

However, it was a bit awkward for you to keep up with them. It's not like you had a lot of practice running around jumping across rooftops.

You had a feeling Leo took note of this and would use it as an argument for you not to come with them, but you ignored that as best as you could too.

Luckily, you guys weren't on the rooftops for too long. Besides their weapons, the guys had also brought their skateboards with them (where did they even get the skateboards? you wondered. Is there some secret store in the sewers?), and pretty soon, you guys were at a deserted skating park.

Unluckily, however, they only had four skateboards. So you had to watch them.

Oh, joy. Your favorite activity: watching four mutant turtles skateboard.

At first, it was kind of okay. The most entertaining to watch was Mikey, who screamed, "BOOYAKASHA!!" and then took off, his tongue flapping out of his mouth. Sometimes the brothers crashed into each other and that was pretty fun to watch too.

But even that got old.

In fact, after a while, you got so bored that you kinda curled up on the bench and closed your eyes.

"Do you regret following us now?" a voice said directly next to your ear.

You jumped up, eyes snapping open, barely suppressing a scream, and punching the air where the voice had just been.

Raph had already moved in anticipation of your reaction and caught your wrist in his hand, snickering. "Not bad for a girl who faints when she's confronted by the sight of a turtle."

He let go of your wrist. Annoyed, and wanting to regain some of your dignity, you blurted, "I didn't faint."

Raph gave you a skeptical look. "Oh, really? So what were you doing, then? Taking a nap?"

You glared at him.

Assuming your silence meant you had no answer, Raph continued, "I mean, I guess I can't blame you for fainting. I know it's a lot to take in—"

You raise an eyebrow, wondering if Raph is being nice to you—

"—when you're face-to-face with someone as attractive as me." He smirked, flexing his muscles.

No, he's not being nice. Just egotistical.

You snorted and rolled your eyes, deciding to ignore that. "I didn't faint," you said pointedly, getting back to the original topic at hand. "I just pretended to."

Raph froze in the middle of his rather narcissistic-seeming flexing. "What?"

"I pretended to," you repeated slowly, as if talking to an unintelligent child.

Raph was silent for a moment.

"You mean I carried you back to the lair when you were conscious and perfectly able to walk?!" Raph complained.

You snorted again. "You poor, tragic boy. I'm sure it was incredibly hard for you, with all of your muscles that you flaunt."

"Nah, I just don't like spoiling people," Raph replied. Then, "Why would you pretend to faint?"

You thought it over for a moment. "I don't know. I guess I just figured I couldn't win against you, and I didn't feel like answering you, so I just pretended to faint until it was convenient to stop. Honestly, I'm surprised none of you realized."

"You're good at pretending to be unconscious, aren't you?" Raph asked.

You smiled a little. "Yeah."

Raph almost seemed to smile at you for a moment. Then suddenly, he pulled back and set his face, looking angry again.

"Well, you won't fool me again, F/n." Then he walked away and went back to skateboarding.

Raph's PoV

...

. . .

I...

I feel...

Weird.

I don't usually let my guard down like that. Not that easily. I've only known the girl for a few hours.

She's not even trustworthy!

I mean, seriously. I'm supposed to believe her address is nonexistent?! Come on!

And she pretended to faint, and she followed us out of the lair! And we didn't notice!

Well, okay. We noticed once she was out of the lair, and Mikey was making a lot of noise, including while we were in the sewers, but still!

And yet...

I don't feel like she's dangerous.

I don't feel like she's a threat.

I mean...why would she just tell me that she pretended to faint if she was spying on us?

But you hate her, Raph, a voice in my head chimes in. Remember?

Yeah, she's staying in Mona Lisa's room!

But she's...funny.

She's almost as good as me when it comes to sarcasm.

But...I can't trust her! I barely know her! Also, she is very suspicious!

"Raph! Heads up, bro!" Mikey's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, but not soon enough.

We collided painfully.

"Oww..." Mikey wailed softly. I heard laughter from Donnie and Leo, and I glanced over at the bench from my position on the ground.

F/n was watching me. I know, because she's laughing.
