Piedmont Park, Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta was hot at best of times. But the temperatures in August were unnatural and making people work in this heat is inhumane. And WHY WAS IT 30 DEGREES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING NIGHT??!!

The costume tent had two large fans on full blast blowing cool air onto the people inside it. I stood in the middle of the tent in my CGI suit covering my legs, arms and upper torso. Hannah, the makeup artist, and her team were helping me to put on my Iron Man Armour.

Yep. I said it. MY Iron Man Armour.

The red metal shoulders were being clipped into place by Hannah and another artist whilst two other artists were fixing the arm armour into place. The extra weight on my shoulders and arms was making me sweat and with sweat came bad BO. God, if you're listening, please don't make me smell that bad.

Inside I was completely losing my shit. I was given the honour of wearing the Iron Man suit. Fair enough, Don Cheadle and Gwyneth Paltrow have also wore the suit, but my time was going to be longer and permanent. Being Iron Man's secret daughter meant that I would be slowly taking over the Iron Man mantle but I wouldn't be Iron Man. Just a second-rated, less cool version of him.

The scene I was preparing for was quite a big one. It was probably my second biggest scene in the entire movie; the biggest one was revealing to the world that I am Iron Man's daughter at the press conference that was meant to introduce Spider-Man as the newest Avenger.

A runner came into the tent carrying a clipboard. "Guys, we need Ellen on set now."

"Alright, we'll be there in two minutes," Hannah said.

The runner left the tent and Hannah fastened another strap on my wrist. My mom stood up from the corner and gave me a bottle of water.

"Have a swig of this before they put the gloves on," she ordered.

I took three big gulps of water and handed the bottle back. Hannah and her assistant placed the red Iron Man gauntlets on both of my hands and strapped them into place. They moved them around a little to make sure they were in place.

"How does that feel?" She asked.

"Secure," I said. "And extremely cool."

She chuckled at me and nodded. "Yeah, and you look even cooler."

Beside the table full of makeup brushes and equipment and between clothes racks was a floor length mirror. I walked over to it and checked myself out in the mirror. The suit clung to every curve in the right way and the boots on my feet looked enormous. The Iron Man Armour had stickers peppered on them so the team could use CGI later to make the suit look real in the movie. My purple hair was wavy and naturally fell over the armour.

Once I was done admiring myself, my mom escorted me to the playground in the park opposite the lake. A crane held the camera high in the air so they could get the shots on Tim sitting on the climbing dome, me on the ground, and the second Iron Man suit floating in the air.

I moved over to my mark on the floor and waited for Tom to be hoisted on top of the dome. He made his way over dressed in the Spider-Man suit and dripping wet. Tom glanced over at me, doing a double take as he did. His eyes widened and he laughed in amazement.

"Oh my god, man, you look insane," he gushed, looking me up and down to take in the suit.

I flipped my hair dramatically. "Why thank you, kind sir."

Jon told Tom to hurry up because we had to get the scene done and he scurried onto the dome. The crew came over and clipped me into a harness that would hoist me into the air to make it look like I was flying. I hated heights so this was my worse nightmare. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down before Jon yelled "action!" to start the scene.
