Chapter 15: The Confrontation

A couple of days had passed since the wedding.

Riya had sent cyn a letter, as cyn read it she was happy.

Riyas husband was a complete gentleman contrary to what riya thought he would be.

And riya found herself liking him more and more each day.

As cyn set the letter down she came back to her reality.

She was not a newlywed, she was not young anymore. Eight years of marriage and they were here. Her husband didn't love her anymore, and she knew that things were going to change.

She knew she probably should have spoken to john about what she now knew and yet he had avoided her the whole time, every time they try to spoke john would shut her out.

She had enough,

Entering his bungalow she made no effort in being formal. The time for formalities was over.

"Look" cyn said entering, seeing john on his bed with his guitar, "i know you hate confrontation and will never really be honest with me but can you at least admit what you've done for once." She said firmly crossing her arms.

John couldn't even look at her. "I told you not to bother me in here" he just replied.

"Please john, stop avoiding the subject, im your wife, I know that concept is foreign to you, having a wife, but I am" she replied angrily.

"Your mad" john replied.

Cyn just shook her head. "I'm mad, says the man who keeps secrets from his own wife, and is living a double life. With a wife and child, and a woman he claims to love" she responded.

"I love Yoko" he responded. Firmly finally looking at her in the eyes

"Now you look at me, she responded. You Never do that. So it's true?" she asked with slight tears forming in her eyes. But she held them back knowing that she couldn't let john get away with making her feel helpless anymore.

"Yes" he responded looking back down at the ground.

She just shook her head,  "so everything was a lie? Our marriage, Our life?"

"Look when I met yoko everything changed, don't you get it" he responded looking at her once more.

"You can call this love john, but i see is as your way out, You aren't happy with your life anymore so you decide yoko is your only hope your way out." She responded.

"Look you don't know a bloody thing about yoko or me." He said angrily.

"Your right i don't know about you or yoko, but i know you john. I've known you since you were 17,  we have been through so much together, and i know that this is how you work, you will never admit it but you know i am right. Yoko is your escape, and you know it." Cyn said.

John looked to the ground again somehow knowing that at one point she was right. Yoko had come into his life and gave him that escape from his life he craved. She offered an exciting life, she was opinionated, and knew what she wanted.

"So I commend you on finding true love, i really do, but don't deny our love to make yourself feel better." Cyn said.

"Cyn".. John said wanting to finally say something.

"Have a good night, john cyn said leaving. And congrats on falling in love" she remarked.
