Sitting at her couch maureen had finally come to visit, the last couple of days had been hectic but mo was finally able to come and show support for her friend.
"I didn't know it was this bad" maureen said.
"Well it was" cyn said sipping her tea.
"And a divorce wow" maureen said disappointed.
"I always thought you were the perfect couple" she said.
"Well looks can be deceiving mo" cyn said.
"God if richie and i ever got divorced.... maureen stopped realizing her words. Im sorry cyn i didn't mean that."
"No its fine, i understand divorce is a truly terrible thing, i dont wish it on my worst enemy." Cyns said.
Maureen took cyns hand, "well frankly i love john but he is an idiot. Who else is better than you cyn" maureen told her reassuringly.
Cyn smiled at her friend. "Well her apparently" cyn said.
"What is wrong with him does he have a brain malfunction?" Maureen asked.
"I think he fell in love mo" cyn said.
"Well i'm going with the brain malfunction" maureen said finishing her cup of tea.
Cyn laughed.
Well what have you been doing cyn? Besides going through this? Mo asked
"Well, cyn said i've been painting, taking julian to the park, reading." Cyn said realizing how boring she sounded.
"That's it? Cyn you need to go out. Have fun, we are still young woman, who just happen to be mothers" maureen said chuckling.
"I dont know mo," cyn said hesitating
"Oh yes, we should go dancing and oh i have a great idea i'll set you up on a small blind date. Maureen said excitedly he is great he is the cousin of a friend of mine."
"No mo really no that would not be a good idea." Cyn said nervously.
"Why not" mo asked.
"Considering im in the middle of a divorce i dont want to give the press any ideas." Cyn said.
"Or is it that you don't want to give john any ideas?" Maureen asked.
"No, i could care less what he thinks." Cyn said trying to convince maureen.
"Sure maureen said skeptically, well ok whatif i was to tell you this guys is a successful nightclub owner and is wildly handsome. Maureen said winking.
"It sounds tempting but i cant." Cyn said.
Maureen interrupted her, "well it's settled you are going out with him, tomorrow night."
Cyn couldn't say anything maureen had already made the decision.
Cyn was never good at dates considering she had not been on one since art school.
What was she going to wear and how was she going to hide this.
