John sat with his childhood best friend pete shotton. Being friends since they were five they were practically brothers.
In petes living room, john began to tell pete everything. Although he knew most due to seeing it on the news.
"Its a bloody mess pete john said. Im getting a divorce, I cant see my son as much as i would like, Im kicked out of my house, and the woman i love is in paris for the next week."
"Why wont cyn let you stay at Kenwood" pete asked.
"How should I know she is probably just still mad, ever since india its like she is a different person, i can't explain it. More confident, sure about herself" john said.
"Thats good right", pete said trying to get john out of his thoughts.
"Well ya, technically but she is shutting me out pete, that i dont like."
"Hmm so how did she find out about you and.... Whats her name" pete asked trying to remember.
"Yoko john said. And through a bloody letter. I was writing to her in india and i left one behind, cyn found it and all hell broke loose."
"Hmmm pete mumbled sounding confused. But isnt that hat you wanted" pete asked.
"Well yes, but I wanted to do this my way. Cyn has decided to shut me out and file the divorce, practically do everything on her own."
"What was your way just leaving her then?" Pete asked.
"Well, yes... I mean no john said confused on what to say. Ugh im just really damm confused shotton. Everything is a bloody mess. " john said.
"Like last night, i wanted to stay, cyns mum finally left and it would just be her and julian, so i offered to stay... more for julian of course john said trying to convince himself more of that, and she just flat out said no. i mean i wanted to be there for my son for chrissakes."
"Hmmm"pete said again.
"You know shotton you've barely said anything, that's helping me." John remarked.
Pete got off his couch and reached for his packet of ciggratetts. Putting one in his mouth he looked for a lighter.
With the cigarett still in his mouth he said. "Well I dont know john, you say to be over her, and yet you are frustrated she is shutting you out, you say you can't wait to get the divorce, and then you say you wanted to stay the night for julian, which i don't believe it was just for julian by the way."
Finally finding his lighter he lit his cigarette. Blowing out some smoke he said. "Wild idea but maybe your not really over her?" Pete asking more of a hypothetical question.
"Ok shotton you've definitely gone mad, In no way, no bloody way am i still in love with cyn. Yoko is my life now."
"Ok Ok, wont ask again"pete said turning on his tv.
"Hey look its you," pete said pointing at johns picture on the news.
John tried to grab the remote from him, "change the channel shotton" he said.
"Make me lennon," fighting over the remote john finally let pete just have it.
"Fine you win," john said giving up.
"Alright im gonna try and ring yoko again in paris." John said getting up from the couch.
"Ya uh huh," pete mumbled.
John just playfully hitting leaving the room.
