Josh threw on his shoes, it was the day after El walked out on him. He had no idea if El was still in this world with him. Josh felt like he couldn't breathe, the whole night he was trying to catch his breath.
He started out the door, running down the street. The things he said last night flew back into his mind. Josh was fleeing, trying to escape the memories. He wondered if he did the right thing or not. Making it a block he slowed down to a stop. Sitting on the ground he gasped for air. It's been years since he felt this...lost.
Footsteps behind him went around his body, then stopped. Looking up he saw El, she was dressed in a black dress. He noticed how small she was, as if she had stopped caring about eating.
"You're sitting outside my house, please go." She spoke down on him, ignoring how bad off he was.
Josh slowly stood up, his legs burning and his heart pounding. He just stared at her.
"How can I leave you when everything in my body is telling me to stay?"
"Just go, Josh. I don't want you here." El slowly backed away, her dress flowing as she left him on the sidewalk.
