Josh stormed inside the school the next day. It was a Friday, he wasn't supposed to be back until Monday. But this couldn't wait. Seeking out Kennedy he noticed the blonde hair immediately. Shouting her name she turned away and flashed him a smile that slowly went away.
"What is your problem?" He spoke, the hallway slowly went quiet.
The clusters of students stood back, some even pulling out their phones. Josh knew that he was putting himself at risk for ruining his perfect record by confronting Kennedy but he didn't care. El was worth arguing about. He spent too much time not protecting her, as did everyone else. This is what he had to do.
"Babe, hey! I don't have a problem now that you're here. Why are you so pissed?" Kennedy did the one thing she always did, put up a front. If there was something he learned from those two years it was that he knew how to break her down.
"I'm pissed because you told El that I loved you. Which we both know is a lie. I was delusional." Josh spat out. Even the teachers stood back.
"I never said that-" Josh quickly cut her off.
"Oh—right! Because you told her that she was a weight dragging me down. That she should go slit her wrists." Students gasped at Josh's statements and began whispering.
Kennedy's face drained of color, her perfect reputation was beginning to crumble in seconds. Josh felt bad, but she deserved it after what she did to El. His Ex began denying it.
"Bro, step off my girl man. It's not our fault your girlfriend is a suicide piece of-" Instantly Josh punched the former friend, Nate. When she cheated on Josh it was with Nate. He had let him off the hook for that. But not this.
Nate swung back, hitting Josh's cheekbone. Josh tackled him to the dirty floor, drawing his arm he punched him a few times before Nate managed to get him off him and kicked him in the ribs. Josh coughed to try and get his system back in order. Nate landed one more punch on Josh before the teachers intervened. As they got yanked apart Nate hit him once more.
Somehow Josh broke free of the gym teachers grip and landed one last good punch to Nate's jaw.
Kennedy watched Josh as he got dragged to the office.
Josh's mother wasn't happy when he had to get picked up at the police station.
