She should feel beautiful.
Instead she feels ugly.
She should want to feel confident without changing anything.
She should not be judged on how she looks.
Instead she gets dirty looks and scoffs.
Instead she feels as if she isn't worthy of anyone.
Why?
Dear El,
You say that you want to feel beautiful. But I feel as if you already are. Has anyone told you that when people pick on you it's because they are jealous? It may not be true but I would bet money that's the case. Because you are in fact beautiful. Whether you believe it or not, other people do. And I bet that intimidates them a lot.
She should feel beautiful.
Instead she feels ugly.
She should want to feel confident without doing anything.
She should not be judged on how she looks.
Instead she gets judged.
Instead she feels as if she isn't worthy of anyone.
Why?
Because I never had the courage to talk to her before.
