Angel's pov
—After lunch was fifth period, which meant I didn't know anyone in there. Well, actually, I didn't know anyone in my other classes besides for first period. I didn't mind it though, being the new kid has it's perks. Usually nobody wants to come up and talk to you unless you're beyond gorgeous or have a killer body. I'm neither of those things.
My fifth period class was across from my sixth period class, so at least I knew I wouldn't get lost. Even though Ethan offered to show me around until I got used to the school, I still felt lost. I felt kind of out of place.
I walked into my fifth period class, being the first one in the room with the teacher. He greeted me, and told me to pick a seat. I was hesitant of where I should pick. If I picked the back, I'd look like a delinquent. If I picked the front I'd look like a nerd. If I picked a seat in the middle, that's between both of those categories. Once I'm in my seat, more students flood through the door like water through broken glass at an aquarium, which I have witnessed happen.
"Who the hell do you think you are sitting in my seat, bitch?" Small, boney hands slammed down onto my desk, I looked up to see a dark haired girl with bangs. She was tan, a lot tanner than I was, and her eyes were piercing, almost like she could turn anyone who looked into them to stone.
"I-I'm sorry." I quickly got up from the seat and moved. Everyone was watching my every move as I walked towards the empty seat in the back of the class, but the boy next to it laid his foot across it. I sighed and headed for the front, there was only one seat left, it was next to a boy who didn't have his head facing us. In fact his head was down, and his headphones were in. He looked sort of feminine, but also very masculine. It wasn't until I sat in the seat next to him that he looked up and over at me. His face had more makeup on than I did, but it looked so nice. I smiled at him, which he returned.
The teacher sat at his desk and didn't say anything to anyone for more than half of the period. I was confused, I honestly thought that lunch was still going on.
"I'm Chance. I'm guessing you're new here." The boy spoke, popping his headphones out. I nodded, looking behind me at the girl, Tess, apparently. She stared at me with her piercing eyes as she laughed with the people who sat around her.
"Boo! Why are you staring new girl?" She yelled across the classroom. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Chance. He laughed as I did and looked at her for a second.
"And you, gay boy. Stop staring. I know you wish you looked this good without makeup, but damn. Obsessed?" She called. Chance looked at me and raised his eyebrows, rolling his eyes yet again.
"And thats why all her friends secretly hate her. They use her for her money and they're never there for her. She's so caught up in being rich that-"
"Why don't you just mind your own business?" I turned myself in my chair and looked at her as Chance was talking about her. She looked up and her eyes went wide in amusement.
"I guess you don't know who I am. I'm Tess Jackson, the richest person in this town. I'd be nice to me, but since you're new, I'll give you a break. Because you didn't know who I was, but now you do. You don't run your mouth off to me. Got it?" She leant forward towards me. I rolled my eyes. Who flaunts their parents money like it's their own?
"Angel, you don't want to start with her." Chance said, resting his hand on my arm. I huffed and looked at him.
"How do you know my name?" I ask, he laughs.
