Angel's pov

"No. Like he really laughed, momma. He's trying to start talking again." I explained to my mom as we sat in the booth at the diner. She smiled, dipping her french fry into the ketchup she had filled the tiny cup with.

"Thats good, Angel. You seem good for him, and he does for you. I approve, and so does your father." She rested her hand atop of mine, squeezing it.

"He does? Really?" I asked, she nodded.

"He knows who the twins are. His parents were his best friends- until what happened to them. When he went away when you were ten for those few weeks, he was here. Helping plan everything. He payed for their funeral, he was grieving. Thats what I think lead him to do what he did." She explained.

"So daddy didn't kill the Dolans?" I asked, she shook her head.

"No, honey. He killed the man who did." She squeezed my hand before waving down the waitress.

"Oh my gosh." I was speechless. I'm shocked to say the least. That was the biggest twist my life has ever taken. This whole time, I thought deep down that my father was to blame, but he's not. That made me happier, knowing that he isn't behind Grayson's family's murder. It still saddened me that my father was in jail, but now I can at least look him in the eyes.

"Is it okay if I go over to Grayson's for the night? I'll drive to school in the morning." I asked as we got into my mom's car.

"Angel, are you and Grayson having sex? Is that why you've been over there more than I expected you to be there." She asked, starting the car. I laughed and shook my head.

"We have not. I don't think we will— if we do, it won't be for a long time." I reassured my mom. She nodded, "then of course you can stay over there. Just make sure you get to school on time."

"I will."

"What are you doing?" Ethan barged into Grayson's room. I laughed and looked at him from where I was laying on Grayson's bed. Grayson laughed too, then removed his hand from where it had been resting, which was on my ass. "I saw your hand on her ass. You didn't have to move it, dumbass." Ethan chuckled at his twin. Grayson's face turned red and he rolled his eyes. I kissed Grayson's cheek before pushing myself off him, since I'd been laying on him with my leg bent resting on top of him.

"Have you guys made it official yet?" Ethan asked, sitting in the armchair Grayson has in his room. I look at Grayson, he shakes his head.

"I'm waiting for the right time. Stop rushing things. This isn't your relationship to worry about." He signed to Ethan. Ethan nodded and looked at me. He smiled softly before standing up.

"Well I'm going to go get something to eat, you guys down?" He asked, I looked at Grayson. He shrugged his shoulder while he was laying down.

"We'll pass." I smiled at Ethan. He nodded, closing the door behind him. Grayson pulled me back down, our bodies going back to the position they were in before we were interrupted. Turning our attention back to the tv that we're watching.

Wednesday
Grayson's pov

"Okay, Grayson. I want you to try to talk." My therapist said again. I nodded, "I will try." I signed. He nodded at me and waited.

"You told me you wanted to talk so you could ask Angel to be your girlfriend. Pretend I'm her." He offered. I shook my head, "thats not how that works." I signed. He laughed and nodded.

"Come on, you can do this." He encouraged. I nodded and took a deep breath in. He nodded, slowly waiting for me to say something.

I opened my mouth, and I could feel myself ready to talk again, but his phone rang. He had to take the call, because it was his daughter. I completely understood why he had to take the call. If I had a daughter I would always take her calls.

Sometimes I wonder what my life will pan out to be like. If I'll get married and have kids. If I'll go to college, graduate and find a job. If I will own a house, a new car. If I'll move out of Belle Dam, or stay here. It's all such a mystery, but I want to be able to see it. I want to be able to know and choose the path I'll go down.

"I'm sorry, I have to cut this short. My wife is in labor. We'll reschedule this for next week. Also, try to talk to Angel. You said you trust her, so trust her with this. If she really likes you, she'll stay around to help you with this process." He grabbed his things and rushed towards the door. I nodded and followed him out.

"Seriously, Grayson. Try and speak to her. Don't do it to Ethan yet. Just try to talk to Angel." He opened his car door, sliding in. "She'll be so happy to help you with this."

He sped out of the parking lot, leaving me alone. I got into my car and pulled out my phone. I kind of wanted to see Angel, since I had to leave school during fifth period. Maybe we can hangout at her house, or mine. Whatever she wanted to do.

To: Angel
Hangout?

I looked through my instagram feed, only seeing pictures from the party that happened over the weekend. I looked up Angel's page, seeing the last post on it as us. It was a simple picture taken of us at in front of the lockers. She was looking at me, laughing at something someone had said, and I was smiling at her. It was an off guard picture to say the least. My phone buzzed, and Angel's name popped up.

From: Angel
Where do you want to? My house or your house?

To: Angel
Your house. That way Ethan wont bother us the whole time.

From: Angel
Got it. Meet me there? I'm leaving school right now.

To: Angel
Okay.

"I want to ask you something." I signed to Angel as she sat in front of me on her bed. She nodded and waiting for me to continue. "If I were to never talk again, lets say I just can't bring myself to do so, would you still be with me?"

"Grayson of course. I've told you before, I'm not with you because you want to talk again. I'm with you because you make me happy. You don't have to talk to make me happy." She rested her hand on my cheek. "I'm here for who you are as a person- all of it. Wether you talk again or not, I'm here for it all."

"You're the only person to ever say that. Thank you for being so nice." I signed. She smiled, removing her hand from my cheek, replacing it with her lips.

"I'll always be nice." She laughed softly, I smiled.

"Will you be my girlfriend? Like real girlfriend." I signed. She smiled again, nodding.

After hearing her say that she'll stay with me, even if I don't talk again, made me realize she's special. And I've learned never to take special people for granted, because at any given moment, they can be taken from us in horrible ways. Like my parents.

"Of course I will." She threw her body at me, both of us laughing as she did. She made us lay down and cuddle. This made me feel deeply happy, I could feel that feeling throughout my entire body.

She made me feel happy.

Kind of just a filler chapter. But hey now they officially are together! :)
