Angel's pov
—"I really, really don't want to go back, momma." I sighed as I set my bowl in the sink. My mom sipped her tea, watching me mope around the kitchen in my outfit for school. Plain jeans, and a black sweater. I didn't have it in me to dress up to pretend I'm okay.
"You can leave early, if it's too much for you. But you need to turn in the work you missed." She handed me my keys off the key rack we had hanging in the kitchen. I nodded, grabbing my backpack off the couch.
"I love you, Angel. I promise things will get better. I have people trying to find Harry. He's been m.i.a. But don't worry about anything but yourself." She followed me to the front door. I unlocked my car, walking down to the driveway.
"Drive safe. It's dangerous out there, hun!" She shouted from the porch. I gave her a thumbs up, so she knew I heard her concerns.
I started my car, letting it warm up before leaving for school. I wasn't excited. I was actually dreading it. It's my first day back after everyone witnessed Grayson breaking up with me. It's also the first day everyone will see me after seeing my naked body, and me in a vulnerable state.
I turned on the radio, hearing nothing but commercials from the stations. I was stopped at a red light, so I began to flip through the channels, trying to find anything with music.
The light turned green, and I began to pull into the intersection. I should have checked before I pulled out, because people are idiots.
My car flipped, and flipped, and flipped. I couldn't even tell if I was alive anymore. I felt hot, really hot, like my car was burning.
Grayson's pov
—"I wonder where Angel is. I didn't see her anywhere today." I sighed, sitting down at out lunch table.
"Why do you care? I thought you were over her?" Vanessa asked.
"I didn't ask you, did I?" I spat at her. She rolled her eyes, obviously not picking up that we are currently not cool. She took advantage of me, why would I even want to see her?
"Chance!" I called as he walked into the cafeteria. He bobbed his head at me, walking to the table.
"Have you seen Angel today?" I asked as he sat down.
"She's not here," he looked at Vanessa and Bella who were laughing away at the end of the table.
"Do you know why she didn't come today? We had to turn in our papers." He nodded his head, and sighed.
"Shes in the hospital." He answered, pulling out his phone.
"And you didn't think to tell me!?" I slammed my fist on the table.
"Dude, calm down. She's not even your girlfriend anymore." Ethan chuckled.
"That doesnt mean i dont love her. Why is she in the hospital?" I asked, pulling out my phone to text her.
"I don't know. Her mom just told me that she was rushed to the hospital." He explained. I nodded, getting up.
"Where are you going?" Bella asked. I ignored her, and rushed out to my car.
