Angel's pov
—My eyes open to the bright light in my bedroom, making me grown internally. I wanted to sleep in today, its my last day of being home from school. I had planned to sleep until at least noon, since I have nothing better to do.
I sit up, stretching my arms behind my head and cracking my back. I turn my head to see the other side of my bed empty. Grayson must have gone home to get more clothes. My mother still doesn't know how long she'll be gone. I kind of feel bad, though. I asked Grayson to stay with me until she came back and its been almost two weeks since I was released. I don't want him to feel like he has to stay with me. I'm just scared of being alone now.
I grabbed my phone, seeing that I had a few 'happy birthday' messages from my family. I sighed, setting my phone back down. I've always hated my birthday.
I pull myself from my bed, grabbing my robe off my chair. The soft silk fell around my almost naked body. It's been nice to just have Grayson here with me, I have to admit that. He's a good comforter in times of need. And then he's here when I need him psychically. So its really a win-win situation.
I walked out of my room, and down the stairs. There was quiet music playing from the kitchen. Maybe my mom and brother were finally home, then Grayson didn't have to stay with me all the time. I feel like it bores him.
I get to the bottom of the stairs and see the boy I love shirtless, and hovering over the stove. I smile to myself, making my way towards him.
He turned around, setting a plate on the counter, then looked up. He smiled at me as I walked into the kitchen.
"Happy birthday." He leaned down, kissing my lips softly. I smiled, pulling away.
"Thank you." I examined the kitchen. He'd made pancakes, my favorite. He set two plates on the island connected to the counter, then a fruit cup next to each plate.
"When did you go to the store?" I asked, grabbing the syrup from the cabinet and a cup to fill with water. He took the syrup from me as I filled the cup with ice.
"I just went to the market around the corner this morning. I wanted to get some fruit cups." He answered as I sat next to him on the stool. I smiled, nobody has done this for me in a long time.
"Well, thank you. You've already made today special." I leaned over, kissing his cheek. He chuckled softly, smiling at me.
"Thats not all. I wanted to go see a movie this afternoon, and maybe go out to dinner tomorrow night." He raised an eyebrow at me.
"Why tomorrow night?" I ask, confused. His face read awkward as he tried to think of something to say.
"Oh, because I'm making you dinner tonight. Yeah, Ethan and Chance are coming over to help celebrate today. I mean, you only turn seventeen once, Ang." He spoke seriously, making us both laugh.
"Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm down." I smiled, he nodded and continued to eat.

"Thank you for today, Grayson." I thank my amazing boyfriend as we walk up to my front door. I lean up, pressing a kiss to his lips before pulling away.
