Grayson's pov
—"Can I go home soon?" Angel asked the nurse. She smiled at me, then at Angel.
"I have to contact your mom so she can discharge you from the hospital. It shouldn't be long though. I just need to take your vitals and then I'll call her. Okay?" She set the clipboard on the chair as she grabbed the blood pressure sling.
"Okay." Angel smiled at the nurse. She then But looked at me, smiling. She's been very talkative the past two days since she woke up. It's nice to hear her voice again.
"I'll go call your mom." The nurse finishes writing in Angel's chart. Angel nods, smiling again before the nurse disappears.
"I feel so fat." She sighed, reaching for her phone as is vibrated on the bed.
"You are not fat, Angel. You've lost so much weight." I move to the bed, sitting next to her. She nods, setting her phone back down. She rested her head on my arm, then extended her arm to reach for my hand.
"Do you think you can stay with me until my mom comes home? Since she had to extend their trip." She asks, not removing her head from my arm.
"I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else." I moved my head, kissing the too of her's.
"Thank you for being here." She moved her head to look at me.
"I'll always be here." She smiled, resting her head on my arm again.
Angel's pov
—"I brought you some clothes to change into." Grayson walked back into the room holding a plastic bag in one hand, and my slides in the other.
"Thank you." I smiled at him as I got off the hospital bed. He handed me the bag as I walked towards the bathroom.
"Nice butt." He teased as he turned around. I laughed and held the bag to cover the opening of the gown.
I close the door to the small bathroom that was adjoined with my hospital room. I set the bag on the closed toilet seat, and looked in the mirror. I hadn't yet seen my body since the morning I got into the crash. I know theres some scar on my chest, I felt it the day I woke up from the coma. But I couldn't see it from the angle I was positioned.
I sighed, slipping the ugly, uncomfortable hospital gown off my body. I had no bra on, or underwear. It felt very weird to have everything hanging free.
I turned, grabbing the bra from my bag. It was red, a lacy design on hems of it. I turned again, facing the mirror. I frowned upon seeing the scar in my chest. I knew it was going to be bad, but not as bad as it is.
"God, ew." I whined quietly to myself. I finished strapping on my bra, allowing my hands to be free for a second. I examined it, running my index and middle fingers over it.
"How will I ever-"
"Angel? Are you okay?" Grayson knocked softly on the door.
"Yeah! Just- uh peeing!" I answered, quickly grabbing my shirt from the bag.
"Okay," he laughed, "the nurse said you can leave whenever."
