Grayson's pov

"How's she doing?" Ethan walked into the hospital room that I've been sitting in all night. It's now probably 7am, which is when visitor hours begin. But her mom had asked if someone could stay with her. I offered to, because I was so worried.

"She's uh-" I looked at her from my seat, "she's not awake. She's in a coma. I'm really, really scared Ethan. What if she doesn't wake up? What am I supposed to do? I-I love her more than anything in the world, and seeing her. Seeing her like this, man. It breaks my heart."

I wiped the tears spilling from my eyes, not wanting to look so weak in front of Ethan. He's never had a real relationship, he's never been in love. He's never had a girl like Angel, who supported him. They always ran away because I was mute.

"Lets get to school. We can't miss anymore days." He looked at Angel again, "she's really beat up. How bad was the crash?"

"She said the car flipped a lot, but thats all she told me because her body rejected the medicine." I explained, looking at Angel again.

"I don't want to leave her. What if she doesn't make it and I didn't get to say goodbye, Ethan." I couldn't even handle speaking about her. I was terrified.

"She'll be okay. I promise. Come on dude, I have clothes for you to change into in my backpack." He handed me his backpack. I nodded, sighing once more.

"I'll come back later, after school. I love you." I whispered, leaning down to kiss her forehead. I then turned to leave the room. Ethan followed me with an amused look on his face.

"What, dude?" I asked, rolling my eyes as we headed towards a restroom so I could change.

"You're so whipped dude, its funny." He chuckled, shoving my shoulder harshly.

"I'm not whipped. I'm in love. You don't understand that feeling, but you should be happy for me." I looked at him, he nodded.

"Fine, fine. I only tease you because I wish I had Angel. Well not your Angel, but I wish I had a girl like Angel." He leaned against the wall next to the single-stalled bathroom.

"Then stop only looking at the hot, good looking girls. Thats why none of them settle down with you." I advised him. He shrugged, pulling out his phone.

"But Angel is good looking and she went for you. Just hurry up and change so we aren't late for school." He shoved me into the bathroom before resuming to his phone.

Friday

"Are you seriously going to the hospital again?" Vanessa asked as she laid on the couch in the living room.

"Why do you even care? Why are you even here? It's obvious I'm not cool with you, and you're here like we're best friends." I grabbed my keys off the table, heading towards the door.

"She's a waste of your time. Truth is, if she doesn't wake up, you'll be alone again. Nobody had feelings for you when she wasn't here. When she was back in her drama-filled hometown. Oh wait, one person did. That was me, and you pretended you didn't know. Why don't you just give me a chance, Grayson? I'm good for you." She stood up, coming closer to me.
