Grayson's pov
—"Did you like that?" Angel asked as she pulls her wet hair into a bun on the top of her head. She grabs a towel from in her backpack and started to pat down her arms.
"It was fun. I didn't know that we would be cliff jumping or I would have invited Ethan and Chance." I looked at her as I stared to dry myself off.
"We can always come back here during the summer. Plus, we still have time to come back tonight after I take you guys to my favorite look out." She smiled at me as she spoke.
It's obvious she loves the mountains. She seems so much more happier up here than when we're home in the city. Technically, Belle Dam isn't really an entire city, but it's also not farm land. Theres no fields of crops around us.
But even with that being so, Angel just seems much happier here. Maybe it's because shes away from all her problems. I mean, her parents have been fighting a lot, or thats what she'd told me. She's worried they'll end in divorce and they'll have to move again. Which would suck, yes, but she'd have to go. Unless one of her parents stayed here. But, I highly doubt that she'll be moving.
"What do you think they've been doing since we left?" She asks, grabbing her backpack and starting to walk back towards the cabin. I'm grateful that she knows her way around the woods, at least I'm guaranteed to not get lost.
"Probably fucked." I joked, Angel's eyes went wide as she opened her mouth and shook her head back and forth out of shock. I laughed at her reaction as she started to laugh to.
"But imagine-" she looked at me as she stopped walking.
"Sometimes I do wonder if he is, but I'd never ask him. He's come out if he was sure and ready." I explained, she smiled and nodded.
"I wish my family was as supportive as you and ethan are of each other." She sighed, but then grinned as turned back to walking.
"What do you mean?" I asked, catching up to her. I was maybe five feet behind her. She shrugged.
"I don't know. Forget I said anything." She started to walk faster, which left me confused. I shrugged it off and continued to follow her to the cabin.

"It's beautiful up here." I said, parking my car. Angel nodded and smiled at me.
"I love it up here. I always come here when I'm at the cabin." She reached for the door handle and got out. I was the only one left in the car. Ethan and Chance had already gotten out when Angel did. I watched Angel laugh with Ethan as he said something. She looked over her shoulder at me in the car, waving for me to come join them. It's the little things.
"You okay?" She rests her hand on my elbow and leads me away from the group once I finally joined them. I nodded.
"I'm fine, why?" I asked, she furrows her eyebrows.
"You just seem off. I don't know. Was it our conversation earlier?" She asks, playing with my fingers. I sigh while nodding.
"I didn't mean to upset you. I just told you to imagine it. I think they'd be cute, Gray." She rested her hand on my cheek.
