You had been waiting for several minutes, watching suitcases of strangers roll past you, until you spotted your own baggage on the conveyer belt. You had just exited the plane that had taken you from your holiday in Thailand back to your hometown Chicago. Now you only had to get your suitcase and find a bus which could take you to the city center so you could take a bus home from there.

When your suitcase moved past you, you grabbed it and pulled it to the floor. It was heavy with clothes and a few souvenirs. You had spent an amazing time in Thailand but you were looking forward to getting home. You missed your own apartment, your bathroom and especially your own bed.

You started to follow the signs that read 'exit', walking after a family with two small children. You had seen them on the plane before and if you had to guess, you would have said that both toddlers, twins probably, had a cold, considering their amount of crying.

Still following the family you passed the last door that separated arriving passengers from the people who came to pick them up. Enviously you watched families reunite, young people welcome their friends home, and lovers, who had been separated through distance, share passionate kisses. Just to make sure, you scanned the crowd of people, but spotted no familiar face. What had you expected? Your family lived two hours away, of course they would not drive to the airport just to welcome you home from a two week trip. And all your friends were busy anyway. Disappointed you shook your head and moved through the crowd until you reached the edge. You still had to find a bus connection, so you pulled out your mobile and switched it on. As a good passenger you had switched it off during the flight. But now it took its time. You started to feel cold as you heard rain bang against the windows outside. Two weeks in a tropical paradise had made you forget that it was still rainy back in Chicago. You put down your backpack on your suitcase and opened it, pulling out an oversized hoodie, which you quickly put on. You were so cold that you even put on the hood and pulled it deep into your forehead.

You saw that your mobile had finished loading and waited for you to put in the pin. Your fingers skillfully typed the numbers and you connected to the free wifi of the airport. Impatiently you searched for the Chicago bus agency. You clicked the link and waited for the page to load. It felt as if it took forever. Just when the screen finally displayed the search engine for the website, something heavy hit you in the back. It happened so fast and with such great momentum, that you fell forwards. You tried to stop your fall by clinging to your suitcase but it rolled away, letting you fall to the ground, buried under whatever had hit you. You let out a muffled cry, when you hit the ground, barely able to keep your face from forcefully connecting with the hard floor. You groaned, and felt as the heavy object above you moved.

"Aw man, you really should be prepared for this by now," a male voice told you.

Still laying on the floor, you turned around and pushed the hood out of your face. Above you stood a young man. He had short, brown hair, a ginger beard and sparkly grey eyes. He wore jeans and a t-shirt, showing of the tattoos that covered both of his arms. You also spotted the end of a tattoo on his throat. If you had not been so confused, upset, and slightly in pain, you would have said he was a very attractive man. You watched as his eyes scanned your face and he grew pale.

"Oh shit, oh shit, I'm so sorry," he apologized and helped you stand up. "Are you hurt?"

Worriedly his eyes scanned your body, making you suddenly terribly self-aware of the baggy sweats and the oversized hoodie you were wearing.

"I'm fine, I think," you told him. With his worried glance he reminded you off a puppy.

"I'm so sorry, really," he kept apologizing, his pale face growing red now.

He scrambled around and started to collect your suitcase, that had rolled away, and the things that had fallen out of your backpack. Helplessly he handed you a tube of sunscreen and a packet of handkerchiefs.

"I thought you were one of my friends," he explained, "We always give each other running hugs. I thought you were him, because of your hoodie."

"It's okay, calm down," you told him. Sure it annoyed you that the insides of your bag had been spilt on dirty airport floor and your hands hurt from stopping you head-butting the tiles, also it was definitely embarrassing, but it was more embarrassing for this poor dude in front of you. He looked seriously shaken up about it.

"No it's not," he complained, "I could've really hurt you! Are you sure you're okay?"

"I am, everything's alright," you ensured him.

"Okay," he took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "I'm really so sorry. Please forgive me."

"Forgiven and forgotten," you smiled.

Just then a small smile appeared on his face as well. He was really beautiful when he was smiling.

"I'm Andy," he introduced himself.

"(Y/n)," you offered him your still stinging hand, and he shook it.

"I'm so sorry for knocking you over," he started again.

"Dude," you laughed, "Stop apologizing already!"

He laughed as well, but far more nervously than you. "Okay, but let me make it up to you? With a coffee maybe?"

Wow, what was going on? A cute guy bumped into you and asked to buy you coffee? Which world were you living in? Disney?

"Uhm... okay?" Now you got nervous as well.

"Really? Fantastic! Because I know this really great café downtown, and if you got time tomorrow, we could go there maybe?"

"Wait, you mean like... a meeting?" You felt yourself blush at the thought.

"Yeah, a date, maybe? I mean, I wanna make this up to you and you're really cute and nice, so we could get to know each other a little better?" Nervously Andy rubbed the back of his neck.

"That sounds like a fantastic idea," you smiled.

"Great! Maybe I can give you my number so we can text?"

You had just exchanged numbers when a short, dark haired man came walking towards you.

"Whoa Andy, there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!" The man shot you a glance. "Sorry to take him away from you, but dinner's getting cold while you two lovebirds are flirting. Say good bye to your friend, Andy."

You laughed and watched as the man grabbed Andy's backpack and started walking away.

"Guess I'll see you tomorrow," Andy asked hopefully.

"I'm looking forward to it," you told him and waved at him, as he disappeared in the crowd.
