The next couple of days go by and our people are still at war with the Saviors. I rolled over to the side, as I stretched an arm out. I patted the floor and opened my eyes, as I touched paper.

'Went for a run, You looked so peaceful sleeping. Judith is with Lonnie Be back soon.

I read his messy handwriting and nodded yawning.

I laid on the bundle of blankets that was supposed to be our bed. When Carl came in he was in new clothes. "Hey you" He said his voice shook as he talked. "What's wrong?" I asked but he shook his head. "Nothing, I just.." He trailed off and turned setting something on our floor before pressing play.

Carl came over and held a hand out to me. I smiled at him and took it. He hoisted me to my feet as the song started "So lately, been wondering Who will be there to take my place? I laid my head on his shoulder, as we swayed back and forth. One of Carl's hands were on my waist the other on my lower back. "If I could, then I would I'll go wherever you will go Way up high or down low, I'll go wherever you will..." I smiled softly, as I looked up at him. "Go! Run away with my heart Run away with my hope Run away with my love I know now, just quite how My life and love might still go on In your heart, in your mind, I'll stay with you for all of time"

"This is our song" Carl mumbled and I chuckled nodding, as the song continued "If I could, then I would I'll go wherever you will go Way up high or down low, I'll go wherever you will go. The song ended and I pulled away from him only to see tears in his eyes. "Hey...Whats wrong?" I asked and lifted a hand up to cup his cheek. Carl took a deep breathe and a tear slid down his cheek. I wiped it away, and he looked down at me. Carl backed up and lifted his shirt up. His hands shoot as he lifted the bandage he put on it revealing a bloody bite mark.

I closed my eyes and bit my lip nodding. I turned and threw everything off the desk except for the stereo Carl put down. I yelled out and Carl grabbed my waist. We fell to the ground, as I cried. Carl just let me cry in his arms, as we sat there on the ground.

I turned in his arms and laid my head on his shoulders. "Wh-when?" I asked and he just says "About twenty minutes ago. I was saving someone, and we got attacked. I got pushed to the ground" I sniffled and lifted my head to look at him. He wiped my tears and kissed me softly. Our soft kiss lead to another and another, and soon we were making out roughly. "How about a game of Go Fish?" I asked and he chuckled before nodding. We caught our breaths before we leaned back in.

I woke up from my nap to Carl staring at me. I smiled and leaned up. He scooted over and laid his head on my lap. I ran a hand through his locks as I hummed 'You Are My Sunshine'. When I finished he sighed softly. "Chloe" he spoke and I stopped and froze. 'hmm?' Came from my mouth and he hesitated before saying "Will you help me write some letters to everyone? Plus I need to spend some time with Judith before I.." he trailed off and I sighed tears burning my eyes. "Course baby" I spoke softly and cleared my throat before wiping my face, as a tear escaped.
