Rock In The Road

I stood outside with Enid as we talked to Bertie. Enid turns to me and says "I'll go see if they're out of the meeting" I nodded and she leaves my side. Bertie smiled at me, and I turned to see Maggie lead everyone out. "What's going on?" She asked, and Bertie stepped up "Hey. So, if you don't remember, I'm Bertie. And I owe my life to you all, twice over. A bunch of us do. Enid and Chloe said that you want Gregory to get us to fight the Saviors with you. Is that true?" Maggie nodded "Yes." Bertie then asks "Do you think we can win, that we really could beat them? Us?" Maggie just says "I do." Bertie nodded and sighed "Well, Chloe says you could show us the way. I'm ready." One of the men behind her then spoke up "Me too." Then various yells occurred "Yeah. Let's do this. Let's do it. I'm in."

We walked down to the front gate, as I called out "Hey, It's a start." Sasha then agree'd "We'll get more. It still won't be enough." Rosita then called out "No, it won't." I looked over as Carl bumped into me smiling "Well, we find the right stuff, then maybe we don't need the numbers. Blow 'em up, burn 'em to the ground." Dayrl called out. "You said there weren't just soldiers with the Saviors, that there were workers there. People didn't have a choice." I then sighed. Everyone has a choice. Most just work in fear of dying. "We gotta win." I called out, "I'm not going back there"

Carl then slid his hand in mine. "We need more hands, another group. Negan has outposts. The geography, the distance works against us. We gotta get back. If they come looking for Daryl, we need to be there." Enid then wrapped her arm with my other and I smiled at her. "You don't have to get back. Not yet." Jesus called out and we all stopped and turned. Jesus then pulled out a walkey talkey "It's one of theirs, long range. We can listen in, keep track of them." Michonne then chimed in "So, if we're not going back, what are we doing, then?" Jesus just calls out "I think it's time we introduced you to Ezekiel. King Ezekiel." I raised an eyebrow and called out "King?"

"Half is going in this car, Half to the other car. Chloe you're with me" Rick called out and I nodded. I went to walk towards him, Dayrl, and Jesus when Carl tugged me back. "Be careful" He whispered and I smiled up at him before going on my tip toes and kissed his lips softly. "When am I not?" I asked and he chuckled. "Give Jude kisses for me before you leave" I told him, and hugged Enid quickly, before walking away from my best friend and boyfriend. Our hands slowly slid apart as I turned back and blew him a kiss before climbing in the back with Daryl and Michonne.

Jesus drove with Rick in the front seat, while Michonne and Daryl were beside me. It was silent as we went down a random street. "I still trust you" Rick said and I looked up. "With Carl's and Judith's life both. Hell even with my own." Rick looked back at me, and Dayrl looked over to. "We can't choose who is related to us, but if you can give me a little insight on him" Rick says and I nodded, before unwrapping the bandage on my wrist to expose the purple hand print.

"Before he killed Spencer.. He uh.. He thought I was conspiring something. I mean if I was I wouldn't do it with Jude in the same room" I told him and removed the final layer of bandage. Dayrl gently took my hand in his and inspected my wrist. "I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch" He spat out. Rick and even Jesus looked back. "Later on i'll tell you more about him. Let's just focus on the kingdom" I told him and Rick nodded with angerly with a huff. I had Dayrl wrap my wrist back up since Carl did it last night. "You know how Michonne always says I have a plan B?" I asked and Rick looked back. "Just.. Let that simmer in your mind" I said and smirked, as We pull up.

Jesus, Rick, and I pile out of the car. I looked around before calling out "It's called "the Kingdom"? Jesus just says "Yeah. I didn't name it." Rick then looks at me to him, "How much farther?" Jesus just says "Well, technically, we're already here. I mean, we're always here, but here we are -- at the Kingdom. Well, its outer edge." Suddenly Dayrl opens his door and calls out "Hey, what the hell we waitin' on?" Jesus looked past me and called out "Waiting for them." Suddenly hearing hoof beats against the cement I turned, as someone called out "Who dares to trespass on the sovereign land of the --" He then cut himself off "Oh, shit. Jesus, is that you?"
