I rocked Judith to keep her cries quiet. "Shh baby shh" I whispered as her cries got quieter. "Don't cry." I soothed her. Tyreese stood behind me as the girls came up behind us "Where are we going?" Tyreese turned and said "Farther. Come on." Lizzie then walked up and asked, "Is everybody dead?" Everyone just ignored her. When it got darker out we sat in the woods. I laid Judith on her blanket in front of Tyreese when we started crying ten minutes later. "They're gonna hear her." Mika called out and Lizzie just says, "We shouldn't be out here." I sighed as I picked the baby up "We'll find a safe place soon. We will." Lizzie then got up and grabbed he bottle before handing it to me "Here" I smiled as Judith drank from it and stopped crying.
"Walkers!" Mika called out and Tyreese said "come on. Let's go." He grabbed my bag while I kept feeding Judith and we left that spot. "It's okay. I'll find you something to eat. All right, go." Tyreese told us. When the morning broke out we were all tired and moody from walking all night. "Look, grapes." Mika called out and I bounced Judith to keep her calm "It's okay." I whispered to her "Can we eat them Chloe?" Mika asked, and Tyreese answered for me "Yeah, they're good." Mika went to the push and picked them "Here, Lizzie, have some." Judith was fussing, and I sighed, "Shh. Come on, baby girl. Shh. Lizzie, hand me a diaper." Suddenly as I laid her down she started crying "It's okay. All right. Bear with me, Judith. Okay, that's it. Okay."
"They're gonna hear her." Mika said but I couldn't keep her quiet. "You're all right. Come on. It's all right. I know. I know. All right, what do you want? What do you want, hmm? Shh. Shh. Okay, come on. Shh." The leaves started rustling and Mika called out "They're coming!" Tyreese then snapped at her "Ah! I heard it, Mica!" Lizzie from beside me just says "Don't yell at her. She doesn't understand walkers." Mica just called back "You're the one who doesn't understand them." I whistled, and they looked at me.
"Come on. Watch the baby." I told them as I laid her on the ground on her blanket. Lizzie and Mika watched Judith as Tyreese and I pulled our knifes and guns out. Turning to the push we got closer when a crow threw out. Turning we saw Mika gone, "Mica!" I called out, as Tyreese grabbed Judith and we ran after her "Mica! Mica!" I called out as I looked for her. "Mica." Tyreese called out, but Lizzie said "She's gone. You yelled at her and now she's gone." Suddenly walking forward, we found her behind a tree. "Mica. Mica. Are you okay?" I asked as I rushed up to her falling in front of her examine her for cuts.
"I got scared." She told me, and I nodded, "That's okay. We all get scared. You did the right thing running." I told her, and Lizzie turned asked "What?" I just nodded, "She did. You hear or see a walker, and you don't think you can kill it you run. But when you're in a group, you got to try to stay close to them, okay?" Mika nodded and smiled at Judith before rubbing her arm slightly. "You're bleeding. Did I hurt your arm bad?" I turned to Tyreese to see in fact that he was bleeding. "It was a lot worse at the prison. No big." Mika nodded and turned to me "I'm sorry Chloe." I made a confused face, as she continues to say, "I know I'm not like Lizzie." I smiled and said "Don't be sorry. You each do things your own way. But you both get it done." Mika smiled and asked, "Like you and Carl?" I opened my mouth to talk when Lizzie said something instead, "You're not like Carl." Mika then asked "Why not?" And Lizzie just smiled "Because you're still here. Carl isn't." Tyreese looked at me and went to speak when a woman screamed.
"Here." He said handing Judith to Lizzie. "What are you doing?" I asked, and Tyreese ignored me as he put the girls back to back. "Come on. I'm making sure you can see in both directions. You stay like this and keep watch." I got what he was saying "You're leaving us?" Mika asked as the woman screams again. "They may be from the prison. we need to help them." I told them "We need you." Mika said, and Lizzie called out "Mica, tuck your shirt behind your knife so it's easier to grab. We'll be okay." I nodded as the woman screamed again "What do you do when you see a walker?" I asked and they both answered with "Run." I nodded, "Together, towards me. Only fire if you have to. You stay right here until I get back, okay?" I asked as I waved Tyreese off.
I went to follow him until Mika called out "Please, please don't go." I looked around before going up to Mika "Mica, look at me. You can handle this. You're tough." Mika held her gun as I ran after Tyreese. I ran in and killed the walker in front of me. I went to kill the other when a gunshot fired. "Go! I'll take care of this!" Tyreese yelled, and I nodded. I ran back into the woods and shot one of the walkers and the other one was shot from behind me. I turned and smiled as I saw her. "Carol!" I called out and ran up to hug her tightly. Letting go, Lizzie handed me Judith as they hugged her to. "Chloe what happened to Rick and Carl" She asked, and I gulped. "Long story" I told her, and she nodded. "Tyreese is down by the tracks." I told her, and she took Judith from me and we all walked down to the tracks.
"Tyreese." Carol called out and Ty turned to us with a gasp "How-- how... How'd you find us? Where were you? How'd you—" We were cut off by the man behind us sobbing. "Stay here, girls." I said and Carol, Tyreese and I walked over to the sobbing man. "Stay on the tracks. That was my mistake." That's when Carol called out "But the woods have more cover." The man just said "No, you don't understand. There's a place up the tracks. It's safe. You can take the children there. Trust me. Please. Follow the tracks." Tyreese turned us around and he went over to get the girls. We walked down the trail of the tracks. "Chloe." I heard and turned to Mika who took my hand into hers as she smiled "I didn't run. I didn't leave Lizzie." I smiled and said "See that? Tough little lady." We walked ahead but stopped when Carol called out "Hey" we stopped and turned to see her trying to shimmy off her pack "there's some water in there. And some food."
"Yeah. Here you go. Here you go. Here you go." Tyreese handed me something, as he took a drink of a big thermos. "I didn't see you get out. I thought you—" I said but Carol cut me off "I wasn't there. I hadn't gotten back yet. Rick and I found a car. He took what we had back to the prison while I... kept looking." I sighed and asked, "Did you see it?" Carol just says "I saw the end. And then... I saw you running into the woods. You were far away. I lost you, but..." Mika cut her off, "You found us. I knew you would." Tyreese just went on to ask her "Hey, maybe we can circle back and find your car." Carol cut him off "The walkers and the fire-- you can't go back to a graveyard." As the girls and I walked ahead we saw a sign "Look." Lizzie called out as I ran up to it. ""Sanctuary for all. Community for all. Those who arrive survive."" I then got a better look. "It's all the tracks that are connected, if anyone else is alive that's where they'll go." I told them and we all shared a look.
Going more down the track Mika and I tried to keep our balance as we walked on the metal beams. "Do you really think that's where everyone will be Chloe?" Mika asked me, and I shrugged. "I don't know Meeks, all we can do is Hope. What's the point of livin if you don't have it" I told them
